~snip~
So this concludes that the issue wasn't from the forum, but from the email service provider.
Maybe because all the email notifications for replies have the same subject/title (ex. Re:Thread Title) unlike new threads with different titles, your email service mistakenly identifying them as spam.

I can't comprehend "wired experience" though.
Well yes, we can confirm that there were no issue from the forum side. It must be the email client. I am using gmail which I guess most of us do. I think it could be the same email subject. My setup was the same from long time and those post notifications were working all those days except yesterday. Although I have manually marked all these emails as Not Junk and since then I am receiving them in my inbox again.

Anyway, since it's not forum issue which we can confidently say, I am locking this topic.

Cheers everyone.

This was a wired experience. I found the emails in the junk folder. It was wired because all the emails to notify a post in a topic were going to the junk folder but board notification (notification for new topic posting) were working fine.

I checked the incoming email address and both were [email protected] but it was behaving different for two different features (Board notification and Post notification).

Any explanation?

I've been using the email stuff for over a year now. Sometimes emails just get backed up. Having run large email servers, I know what it's like to have a full queue and not enough bandwidth to get them all out right away. It will eventually go out, but email is not reliable, just like text messaging. IOTW, Email is shit, people just don't really know it (yet).... Sad

I read somewhere that notify option will not notify for all the replies on the topic or there some criteria for that.
It depends on how you set your profile's settings. You can choose whether to be notified once or to be notified each time a new post is created: Under Notifications and Email, you can check or uncheck "Receive reply notification only for the first unread reply."

Have you tried to check your spam folder? Or somewhat just your internet connection (which isn't the case I guess).

On gmail (if you're using gmail) there's a default Forum folder where some forum email goes there particularly when I use the notification feature for some thread.

[EDIT] I just tried to use the notify function with the thread you linked and it works fine to me.

I am not sure if this is only me or there are more user like me who are having the same issue.

Seriously something's wrong with the email notification feature. Not sure if this is my email client or server side problem of the forum.

I have notify (email notification) feature active for this topic but I am not receiving any emails for the new posts from this morning (I think).

If this is happening with more members then there must be something wrong in the server side and in that case I will request theymos to have a look.

Cheers :-)
