Thank you DarkStar_ for the payment and also thanks for the service and for your beautiful generous gesture of not charging any fees for the service.

Thanks everyone who joined the pool and kept this discussion alive. The tournament happens once in a four year so hosting a pool for this kind of tournament is a privilege and thanks to all of you for the support.

The ending of this world cup was the most thrilling experience. The cricket world have never seen such match before and experts were given this opinion that may be we won't find this kind of moment ever.

Especial thanks for Cloudbet for the round prizes. It was awesome to offer prize in every round.

I will keep the topic unlocked for the next 24 hours. Feel free to share your experience and any other discussion if you have.

Edit: Locking the topic.

Thanks all.

Thanks Royse777 for organizing this prediction pool.

Morning all,

I'm still recovering from that game yesterday, my heart was beating through my chest during the last 20 balls and the super over. So much drama, so many moments of luck that changed the entire game - I've never seen anything like that Stokes overthrow boundry before!

Congrats to the other winners! I won't be claiming my prize so happy for it to be split between the other winners, or put it into the next cricket pool!

What's next for the cricket pool crew? Ashes?  Grin

Since the tournament is over it's about time I dished out the prizes for the latter rounds! I'm going to go with the yellow caps this time round:

Rajavu (Round 6)
erikalui (Round 7)
fifaworldcup (Round 8 )
Harkorede (Round 9)
Timon (Round 10)
vishnu (Semis)
eaLiTy (Finals)

If your name is listed above then please drop me a PM with your Cloudbet nickname and I'll get your bonus added ASAP   Cheesy

Have a great day!

Thanks cloudbet for this prize although never expected to be a winner but feels so great Cheesy

Currently there is a controversy going on that according to the rules, the run of the over throw should be five and not six. I am thinking if there is any such thing and was it a mistake from the umpire  Huh
This entire controversy keeps getting worse and worse with time. Simon Taufel(One of the best umpires in the World of Cricket) himself mentioned this and I was not surprised to hear that this is another umpiring error.

Honestly, many including me strongly believe that England and New Zealand are joint champions. If the win would have been decided by the number of wickets, New Zealand would have won which would make it unfair for England. Pathetic ICC fools need to learn from FIFA.

Thank you Darkstar_ for playing act as escrow here. Appreciate your effort.
Special thanks to Cloudbet for your generosity and the additional prizes.

Another point is signature spam if we open 2 different thread for same reason.
Whatever we do, we are obliged to help the forum to reduce spam. This must be handled. We must have one thread, which we already have and may be for each pool, a new thread. This can be a good idea to reduce spam.

It should have been 2 runs, not five or six. Ben Stokes intentionally pushed his bat forward, resulting in the ball hitting the bat. The deflection of the ball was intentional, and therefore no additional runs should have been given. The umpiring was horrible during the finals. First it was the wrong dismissal of Ross Taylor, and then it was the four additional runs that could have never been given.

Ashes without any doubt.

That will be cool but Ashes will only have 5 matches. Yes 5 test matches only. So if you make a pool make it somewhat interesting like per innings score, individual score, best bowling figure betting and so on. Does superbru allow such types of bets or we can only predict the winner or loser of the match there?
I sure this is not going to happen because superbru has not options like this and OP cannot do any thing without this so if any one want then surely they need some site with these options.

I haven't used it before myself, but I have some friends that were in a fantasy thing for the IPL on Dream 11, it might allow for more options when it comes to some kind of pool, but I don't know if they will cover the Ashes as it seems to be focused on Indian domestic cricket and bigger international tournaments.

Anyone else used it before?

Once in a lifetime match, don't think we will ever see this again in our life, still my head confuse how the hell New Zealand lost this match. Clearly luck was with England and who say luck doesn't involve in sports hopefully will start to believe that luck also require to win matches.

It was a matter of few seconds. Throw of the last ball could had been wide or not collected or a misfield could have made England Out and NewZealand In. That's how small the margin was.

@UmerIdrees You need to grow up because now its all end and teams looking for future prospects not like this  Cheesy

Teams do move on but they do not forget these moments. When the viewers can't forget how can the team forget and especially when they were about to win the final but couldn't.  Smiley

Its not a lot, but it is simply a bonus and nothing more since discussion in these threads is what matters more at the end of the day. Many people including me don't watch test matches which is why I am expecting the number of participants to be pretty low this time around.

If there was a tie or something, the EDM factor would come into play and help sort out the issues most probably.

Congrats to the pool winners! I'll send over the prizes (thanks to Royse777, Pffrt and JSRAW for contributing to the prize pool, and to Cloudbet for offering additional prizes!) once I have addresses from everyone to save on transaction fees. No escrow fee will be charged.

So far I have:
Pffrt | 396TJn9pi7bPThiU3kkkL7R7fpeY8qoM9N
Harkorede | 3Jto2D9RN1sgiHEvzoZDEiQMz3CrAjTBBv
Cloudbet | ?
Rajavu | bc1qm768h5dsnzgrngnajr835eth53nhg4hrlt3y0x

Thanks for the generousness. Every little afford helps to grow this little community. I almost forget to thank Ronnie too for the prize of round winners.

Those who left to get their round prize will get soon as per Ronnie (He mentioned an a post that he will settle those once the tournament ends).

I see him online now. I will send him a PM to response here. I am guessing he may not take the winning like he did in the last pool but I would like him to confirm it in here. In case he refuse to take the winning then we will have a change in the winning order.

Rajavu will get the third prize
And I (roysesuper) get the 4th prize LOL

Let's wait for Ronnie's response before we settle it.

Cheers :-)

LOL I completely missed Ronnie's post here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.51831073

Okay let's settle it like this:
Rajavu will get the third prize

^ yeah guess we discussed this topic before but nothing good came out of it because no one looked interested in it due to support from other members.

For this we need to bring all cricket lovers on same page otherwise some users going to discuss about cricket in old thread and some going to participate in new thread. And the last thing we want our small community to divide into groups.

Another point is signature spam if we open 2 different thread for same reason.

If you ask me it is better to open a new thread for every new series and lock it once the series is over. This will prevent spam and also the thread will be not so big like 800+ pages which look like a spam mega thread.
Also not everyone is interested in every series, so only the interested people will discuss on the particular series and the discussion will be precise and clear.
