изменены иконки и добавлена кнопка home. Сейчас с быстрым levelDB обработкой, фильтрация пиров соединения, которые сбрасывают не EMD соединения и улучшают соединения пиров,которые позволяет иметь 36 исходящих соединений пиров.

Emerald Coin was originally launched June 16, 2013. The original developer, picasso (Original Thread), abandoned the project after a few months. The community stepped in and has kept the currency alive. This thread was created as a launching point for the next step of that community driven re-birth.

Being that the community is looking to continue this coin, we thought it best to re-brand the currency. We thought it important to keep Emerald as part of the name and the ticker symbol EMD, but we also felt the need to distance ourselves from the original developer. The name, Emerald Crypto, was devised so as to keep the old Emerald alive, but show that it is being developed into something other than just another alt-coin.

We are looking to develop Emerald Crypto into a currency that has real world uses. One that is backed by applications and marketing to make it easily adaptable to business markets both large and small.

Emerald, at it's inception, had one of the fastest block times of any currency. While there will be changes made to the structure of the coin in the future, it's basic features: block times, coins per block and total coins are not planned to be changed.

If you are having trouble with your wallet syncing, go to debug window, then console in wallet. Type getpeerinfo in the command line and look at the peers you are connected to. Any peer listed with  "version": 70002 or 60002 and "subver": "/Emerald:V0.8.7.517/" or "/Satoshi:0.8.6.1/" should be on the right chain.

The source has been updated with more checkpoints and is available to download now (v8.6.1). Updated windows client now available. This is a mandatory!

The nodes listed below are on the correct chain. If you are having trouble syncing past the fork block (and are updated to v8.2.1 or higher) try adding one or all of these nodes to your config file.

One of the first projects will be to fork the coin to change the difficulty adjustment. EMD forked at block 1,600,000. Dark Gravity Wave 3 now active. Difficulty adjusts each block.

There is also discussion on including a ~1% PoS feature to help further secure the blockchain. If adding PoS is decided upon; the change will happen by the end of the year. Once we have the difficulty adjustment taken care of, we will concentrate on making EMD a better currency. This will include: Client upgrade, Apps, Services, Games, Contests and additional Websites for the community.
