Wow, this is amazing. Eminem is a rap god and him mentioning about BTC would mean that the market is getting a spotlight in front of those who are unaware of it an would peek an interest in the market too.

Definitely beneficiai for the industry having such influential people even mention bitcoin. It would be good if we could have a few celebrity advocates for bitcoin and cryptocurrency that aren't just paid shills like McAfee.

Personally I think that the branding effect of these individuals could be a game changer for crypto if it was put to good use.

It is pleasant to hear bitcoin mentioned by world class artist but more focus of the community should be on government policies and politics of member states.

OMG, this is good news for the world music industry, we don't have to doubt Eminem's reputation as a musician, if he is able to insert bitcoin on his song, it will make the market more confident about the presence of bitcoin.

Some subliminal advertising for Bitcoin. Gazillions of people will sing and repeat those lyrics over and over again, until it gets imprinted in their brains. Next time they see Bitcoin, they remember the lyrics in that song and they might consider exploring the concept and even buying some bitcoins.

This is still my most favorite Bitcoin song! -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEBWtbhq0Ts    Grin

Do not underestimate the power of music and the subliminal messages that are being imprinted in people's subconscious .  Grin

Maybe it really is a sign that bitcoin will reach new hieghts. Is it the first song to ever mention bitcoin or cryptocurrency? Eminem Rocks!
I doubt it is the first song. Like someone in the thread pointed it out there are other bitcoin songs as well. I don't know why people don't understand the fact that it doesn't matter who mentions it. On a side note, here is bitcoin being mentioned in The Family Guy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qaro6F6YkZM

Definitely another good endorsement from a high profile celebrity. Now this proves that Bitcoin is continuously gaining huge popularity around the globe. Something that skeptics should look into and may change their way of thinking about Bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency.

What? I don't see anything that Eminem had endorsed bitcoin, guys he just mentioned it so keep calm. Bitcoin popularity is dominating around the world though they're not using it but almost everyone is familiar with the name.

I know we're thirsty for some great news that will lift bitcoin so everything we hear is a big deal for us and it's fine but don't be blinded by this. Just keep our hopes and bitcoin will rise in time.

Its no big deal. Eminem isn't the first to mention bitcoin in his song!

~ snip ~

Lol. Perhaps you didn't know how influential Eminem is. He is the "Rap God", so anyone listening to his song would be interested on what "Bitcoin" is. So the potential to go the next level is there and thanks to celebs like Eminem.

But it isn't about anyone mentioning it, it's EMINEM who's like a living legend and imagine what that would mean for bitcoin!

! A lot of movies these days are scripted with Bitcoin being mention in almost every scene. Deals done here and there requiring bitcoin payment and all of that. A lot of celebrities these days wanna promote bitcoin. The currency is struggling because of politics, otherwise its actual worth at $30,000(my opinion) should be its trading price. The world is failing to see that bitcoin/ Digital currencies can end poverty if systematically adopted and the right regulatory framework put in place. Since it doesn't require government controlling the wages of people. So its time for every celebrity to preach and drive this message around, kudos however to Eminem's
You're totally making sense here and I agree with you. However, the currency is not struggling because of politics but the banks! The root cause is the cash liquidated from bitcoin to fiat. If people could spend bitcoin online on a larger scale, I doubt they would ever involve banks.

The mention on Eminem's album is significant however as it suggests not a get rich quick scheme nor a way to sell illicit goods online, but rather something that "everybody is doing" that it's as common as knowing you bite the metal coin to test its quality. It is not the first time that cryptocurrency finds its way into the rap world. Earlier this year, rapper Akon, who authored a total of twelve Billboard Top Ten Hits, has launched his own cryptocurrency intended for use in his “Akon Crypto City,”.Back in January, Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, was reported as owning millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin, after becoming the first rapper to have started accepting the cryptocurrency as payment for his fifth album “Animal Ambition.” Later, he denied owning any Bitcoin at court, with his lawyer reportedly saying that Jackson had “never owned, and does not own, a bitcoin account or any bitcoins.”
