Not impressed.

1. After repeated attempts to load the block chain, the client gets stuck on the very first block and I cannot fully load and use the client. (I tried 4 times- three last ngiht and once today)
2. The GUI looks cheap and playful.
3. I'm not seeing much QUALITY innovation. It looks like the profiles, chat, and messaging system were just thrown together so that they can say they have it.
4. It seems like the true innovations (ones we really need so we don't get goxxed/seized by the feds) were not included in the Beta, and are not developed yet (Distributed P2P exchange Ch

Have had the same problems with the block chain. Even after re-installing it was stuck somehow. Often the connection was lost, without any reason.

I also expected more from the GUI. The whole project looks for me a little bit half finished. After the huge amount of time and effort that was invested here, I expected more...  Huh

As the dust settles, it seems that eMunie will be second or third to the holy grail of a distributed p2p exchange. Mastercoin is supposedly a month away (http://www.mastercountdown.info/). This does not bode well for eMunie or their investors. I would venture to bet that Mastercoin is way ahead in development of the exchange and will definately be first to have it... well before eMunie and Nxt. If there's one thing I've learned about cryptos, it's that the first mover award can be great (the network effect). If Mastercoin completes their distributed exchange first, it is likely to be the most popular for the immediate to near future. Being the most popular exchange will bring them a lot of money, to further improve on the protocol and exchange. This will make it harder for the likes of eMunie and Nxt to catch up.

Nxt is open testing their AE today. It seems Nxt will be the first.

Ya I realized that shortly after making this post. Smiley

They are releasing it today? You sure? I thought it is in beta right now last I read.

It was released yesterday I think. Still testing but it should not be long.

eMunie from the beta will all be destroyed. Is there any incentives for early beta adopters then? Can beta addresses that helped in testing be used to redeem coins when official is launched. Just putting out, just a thought. It may help with wider adoption

Supposedly everything will be destroyed after the beta- addresses, balances, etc.

Each Beta participant will receive 1000 eMus at their launch for helping during Beta.

Summary/Warning to investors:
So, what we have here is another IPO coin promising very ambitious projects. Will one of them (or all?) actually be able to complete a project of this magnitude? I am skeptical they will all succeed, I feel like there's certain to be some failures along the way. I just wanted to make note that investing in this is not a sure thing and there are a lot of variables that you or I cannot control, which will ultimately lead to the success or death of eMunie and other IPO coins. Although it is technically a "gen2" cryptocoin, it is stripped of its most valuable features. Assumingly so because they do not exist yet.

Basically.. eMunie is playing catch up, and this time unfortunately I do not think slow and steady wins the race. Not in the world of cryptocoins.

My two cents,

I am not so stupid after all.

Emunie ltd. Or the total capitulation with the governments and laws, the complete surrender. (ripple all over) centralized as hell with only one dictator CEO Dan Hughes.

Like I said they should ban fusseleer for life. He lied from day one more than a year now to dedicated helpers and beta testers that were by his side day in day out, now he stabbing them a knife in the back by solely listing emunie as a company, no need to say all the consequences that come with that.

Dan Hughes in his eyes everyone and everything that don’t share his opinion is retarded looking down on average people, arrogance itself.
I hope for all them who dedicated one year of their life to test and help developing emunie that Hughes gets what he deserves (karma is a bitch you know).

I'm a beta tester.

Invested a significant amount of Litecoin

The emunie client even in beta stage is like 5x more advanced than Bitcoin and all altcoin's combined.

When Fursleer tells us he has obsessively worked everyday for the last year on this project it's easy to believe him.

Take a moment and reflect on how many people got scammed by the hundreds of altcoin pump and dumps.

As an investor I am confident in how even after the release Emunie will have a monopoly on a number of
great idea's not even attempted by others, and it will take them many months to even attempt to copy it
and only by the few programmers with experience to do so. You won't see black hat scrypt kiddies with their Sex-munie, BBQ-munie, Feather-munie.
90% of the coins out there is nothing more than a copy paste.

If you think it's your "privilege" to copy the source code, something you are owed, then please go buy a bunch of China or Doge coins.

Honestly, it won't hurt our feelings one bit.

This isn't merely a "better altcoin" but the next step in evolution for digital currencies.

disclaimer:

the pinarello used in the video clip for eMunie is set in stage and it is not me.

I have my own opinion about eMunie and the pinarello in the video does not reflect that.

just letting you all know that the eMunie people are not afraid of trickery apparently. That are the people that will play with your money also.

I am not and will never get involved with eMunie.

word for the wise, look out for that kind of people they arent affraid to do anything

the real pinarello

This might not be a scam.  The developer might honest.  After mining might be a great idea.  But, because there is no open source, there is a presale and thus premining, and I find this idea of artificially tying to create a stable price via internal mechanisms is suspect.  I will not be investing.  Perhaps later if the model proves itself.  But, until then......have fun!

eMunie will have a 30 day PUBLIC pre-sale. You have 30 days to get in on the pre-sale which is to start late January-early February, it's your fault if you don't.

I'm sure The World will understand and cheer the decision to spread all wealth silently in just 30 days ... they will love it, totally!

As far as I read there's not many of advantages investing the beta-presale phase except bigger the investment cap (500K vs 100k emu), so for investors looking forward to convert some btcs to emu, it would be better to invest in the last day, assuming that btc price is getting higher every day.
Am I right?

Yes, because Bitcoin increase in price, it should be better to wait the last days.
Plus we can monitor the development and the market before investing.

Emunie won't get any support here, if you can't mine it and dump it straight on the nearest exchange then its of zero interest. Hope more coins will be offered to investors ahead of miners in future might cut down the quantity of dead end altcoins.
true . sad to see these feckless lazy miners just jump in any PoS coin thread and calling it scam, even against all evidence, just cos they can't make any mining profit on it.
