No, I don't think this will have any influence on bitcoin price. Generaly speaking the influence of China is not that big as people beleive it is and the bitcoin price is not falling nor rising (only) because of them.
Currently market looks like it's recovering, the price is slowly rising crossing 10000$ but I don't think this has anything to do with China.

Yeah this is just a rumor that created by the community, some people hoping for a group of panic buyers and then sell it to dump the market. That's just another trading game , psychology are the main target, I don't think also about this Chinese things could have a great impact anymore.
Chinese new year have no impact at all, and whats happened after that is a money going to bitcoins go to 11k usd. I sense a better market by the 2nd week of march if ever any FUD is not present to make the price dumps again. We are in the healthy consolidation stage now. ImHo

There isn't a clear cut "Chinese" effect.   It's an extremely diverse economy made up of many levels.
Well, most people will not want to believe that since they will always want to stick with what they want to believe anyway. We are talking about a diverse global market here and some people feel Chinese coming into the market is going to make a difference. Even if anything happens now and we see bitcoin having a bull run, after a breakout, it would happen anyways, which would not have anything to do with the Chinese.

Price increase??

Or decrease??

Or nothing??

How about your opinion?

I think there will be a little bit of price up coz Chinese investors should purchase some Bitcoin after coming back from their holiday.
so what now?its how many days after Chinese newyear ?is there a good effect?well for me i guess theres some small affect because bitcoin price is stabilizing now and doing better ..so best thing to do is to wait for another week for improvement

Don't expect bitcoin to bounce back easily, cause it takes time before that things happen. Though Chinese holidays affects the price of cryptocurrency it doesn't mean that cryptomarket should bounce back after that. Wait for weeks to months now and you will enjoy higher value of every coin, it will pump and dump but at the end higher value will be made.

as i noticed after the holiday the price always pull back to $10k after it reached $11790k and it didn't surge it always fluctuate . And perhaps IMO the price will stay at 10k and it will never go dip again, and as the technical analysis of some expert the price has a potential to reach the $12k because of its movement . So for me the price will fluctuate always but it Will  never go dip again and besides the price will increase after,, like what other predictions.

It was increasing slowly, now a little correction is happening, let's see for how longer...
Almost all the Crypto market is red at this moment!

Chinese new year's holidays are finishing, maybe just a coincidence?

I hope the altcoin could increase high one more and then bitcoin price will follow to reach and make a new high price too. and yes, almost all altcoin is in red sign and I hope this is just temporary and it will increase later but I see that there is many people don't have the patience to wait for the price and they make a fast selling in altcoin because they don't want to make a bigger loss for holding their altcoin.

Well now that cny is over, there's no significant movement yet from btc. Goes to show btc's habit of making fools out of people who say they're experts. A couple of resistances have been broken yet but its mostly sideway with some corrections as well

Initially though there was a high expectations and bitcoin price rose to $11,700 and think that it maybe a start of another bullrun because of the Chinese New Year, however, it didn't materialized as we have been in wild price swings.  Roller coaster ride between $10,300-$11,700 so with that said, there's not much impact to the price.

why all of you hoping chinese to help rise the bitcoin price ? when the bitcoin price is crash, all the people shout :f*k china ??chinese has nothing to do with it .
Lol, now when the price is down, they are still the same set of people saying that the Chinese will come buying when they are done with their new year. That is human for you mate! They always want to find a reason for everything even when there is absolutely none. It could be, it may not, but one certain thing is that bitcoin is a global market and it seems the community gives too much relevance to Chinese in this equation.

Exactly, we always looks for reason or excuses when Chinese has really nothing to offer now because of the heavy clampdown their government is doing so. I say that we just admit that its over, Chinese no longer that dominant since last September's sudden U-turn by the Chinese government.

So far, I do not see any great influence of the Chinese new year on the price of btc. Although, the price is rising, but not very fast. Maybe we should wait a few days to see if this has an impact on the market.

sure chinese new year did affect the price of bitcoin but since it  was now ended i also see that the price of bitcoin is now recovering.

no need because as i said earlier , the price of bitcoin is now recovering and we now already see that chinese new year did affect the market. not just chinese new year but any holiday or events could possibly lead to price reduction because people will always spend and withdraw some of their coins in order to have enough cash to celebrate

technically end of holidays means traders will come back and also a lot of money will come back from investors to be invested back in bitcoin. so it can lead to increase in bitcoin price.
but mainly the effect that Chinese holidays had on bitcoin was a little part of the recent panic sell because people thought the price will drop and so obviously when it is over that same panic sell should reverse and lead to a little part of the rise. part of the current rise we are seeing now may be because of that.
Yeah bitcoin rose to $11k but it has been having steady rise before the Chinese new year rounded up. These guys are part of the puzzle but I guess people just like hyping the whole thing about the Chinese like they have the highest percentage of the market when of course we are talking about the global market here. What even makes people think the smart ones among them are already not in?

I personally have always felt that the whole Chinese year thing affecting the value of bitcoin has just always been overhyped. Sure, new traders may start wanting to get in, but it is usually a coincidence as the market has already been picking up even before the Chinese new year ended and now that it has, not like there was a head on collusion of bulls on the chart from what I am seeing.

Where is my ring of blades...
the only thing that Chinese holidays did to bitcoin was to create some panic sells based on pure speculation (saying Chinese are selling to cover the cost of their travels!) and increase the size of the drop that was already going on.
and now it is having the same reverse effect. as the New Year is over now, the panic sell due to that pure speculation is over and with it the sell pressure is vanished. so with the price already rising, it became easier to reach higher prices.

In my opinion its not true because when 2018 has came not only Chinese every world began sold their coins but price has not dumped.Bittrex, Cex, Bitfinex, Binance has stopped registration when new year has came. Price is dumping now. Why? I think bearish market's reason is panic selling not other reasons.

Times without number, we only want to give ourselves reasons where none or the right one exist. When the Chinese were about to start the new year, and the price of bitcoin was going down, I remembered that someone was explaining the reason to mean because the Chinese were starting the new year but along the line the price starts to increase and my question is Did the Chinese sneak out to trade in crypto currency in other for the price to increase?

The fact is, whatever happen to price is a cumulation of factors that are even unknown to a lot of us and any obvious festival that happen at that point in time, is purely a coincidence and not anywhere related to the direction of price swings.

You know that China banned bitcoin in the spring of last year, right? All the exchanges were shut down - and it made no difference to the price because it turned out they weren't players in the bitcoin market, it was all fake volume.

The end of the Chinese new year will have no effect because a) they can't buy bitcoins, they haven't access to exchanges and b) they weren't very into bitcoin in the first place, it was all fake.
