Love that we get the first shot as “your most loyal customers”, but why do your “most loyal customers” have to start at higher premium than your average everyday customer would buy them for??  0.12BTC premium on the V serial numbers just to pick a number and 0.015BTC on the W serial numbers just to do the same.  I understand the auction and allowing others to bid the price up based on number preference.  I just don’t agree with the starting point being higher for “your most loyal customers.” One would think the exact opposite to be true.  Just my 2 Sats.

Hi anonymousminer,

Sorry to hear that you don't like the starting bid price. Let me explain a little bit:

We run a for-profit company, and we need to make sure that BTCC Mint is a profitable business, in order for this to continue. To be honest, every year, we are at risk of it being the last year for BTCC Mint products. 2018 will be our third consecutive year making coins, and we do not take this for granted; and you shouldn't either.

We have deliberated on how much to set the starting bid at, so the decision was not taken lightly. It was intentionally set at this price, for good or bad.

Also, remember that for this auction, we have chosen to offer *FREE* shipping to everyone, to anywhere in the world, regardless of how many items you win. There is a real cost attached to offering shipping for free.

We also deliberately chose to fully disclose to you our intended initial Introductory Price of the two coins for the general sale, so that you're aware of how much you're bidding for, and what premium you're paying.  You're paying this premium for early access and selection of the serial number.  (We will reserve the right to adjust the actual Introductory Price for launch, as well as reserving the right to adjust prices down the road.) We feel that by telling you the prices now, it is more transparent and more responsible, rather than to surprise you at launch day.

However, for this auction and for these two new coins, the starting bid prices will remain, as according to our auction rules in the OP.

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing up this concern, so that we can have the opportunity to give an answer. Even if you disagree, we hope that you can appreciate our intention to be transparent and responsible to this community.

Thank you again, and we do hope that you can bid for a coin that you like! Smiley

thanks,
Bobby

I appreciate your explanation..... and you are correct sir, the fact of transparency should not be overlooked.

The Stone the masons rejected was the cornerstone.
Awesome!
How many of thes coins will be minted in total?
W01 0.127

For our first run, we plan to produce (and mine) up to 300 of the One Bitcoin, and up to 900 of the One Tenth Bitcoin.

Until we mine and sell them, those will not be the final numbers.

And depending on demand and sales volume, we could potentially produce more later this year.

That is great to hear about the 1/10 BTC coins.

Also love the mint BTC loading unique to BTCC coins!! Cheesy

Loving the holograms.
When will the remaining coins be going on general sale?
W010 @ 0.125

We are still tweaking the online store to get it properly listed.
We plan to launch officially and start the general sale in mid or late June.

The idea is that we will get this first auction batch of pre-sale to all of you first, our most loyal customers.

You’ll get your hands on them before anyone else!  Wink

That hologram on the titanum looks fierce!

W11 0.125 BTC
W22 0.125 BTC

Yes, the orange holograms look amazing in person, especially placed on the Titanium coins!
They turned out much better than even we had predicted!

The photos don’t do it justice; you have to see it in person to believe me.

thanks,
Bobby
