How many NRG coins do i need before I can be a masternode? Are there any other stipulations?

When is the next earndrop? According to your roadmap, it will be this year.
When will the earndrop 2 & 3 pay out? I'm assuming that no 4 won't start until that one has been paid out.

Why did you decide in the first place to be a fork of Dash? Wouldn't it have been easier to start with ETH in the first place?

Round 4 sign-ups have already been closed and we are in the process of getting that round officially started.

As I understand, the reason they forked Dash is it's treasury system. Ethereum platform does not have a treasury system, but it has smart contracts. As I see it, Energi is combining positive sides from the two projects and I would says that is their greatest advantage. I really look forward to see how the transition to the Energi 3.0 goes trough.

I have read in an article that you are a fork of Dash and that you are planning to move to an ETH blockchain, how are you planning to do this and when can we expect it? Will i be able to use MyEtherWallet to store my NRG?
Thank you Jimsteel! We will indeed be transitioning to an Ethereum-based smart contract platform, but you will not be able to use MyEtherWallet to store your NRG. Rather, we will be building out our own unique infrastructure. We recently put out a medium article that talks about how the upcoming coin migration will work. We started as a fork of Dash (and optimized it) because we needed the treasury system. We have transitioned from PoW to PoS and are now working towards transitioning to a powerful smart contract platform with our existing treasury, governance/masternode system and defense team in place to protect users. We are aiming to be the world's leading cryptocurrency platform, and in doing so we will be driving cryptocurrency adoption forward.

Just being a fork doesnt make it a dishonest project, there needs to be greater reasoning then that to come to a solid conclusion against them. I just started reading as I recognise NRG as an esports team but I realise this is not related directly, however I'm interested in POS generally and its development vs POW.

The treasury funds are used to get Energi listed on cryptocurrency exchanges. It’s also used to fund the entire Energi Team which includes 50 contributors. IF eardrop release,, ya keyword is the big IF which don't seem as if there is going to be any more eardrops being that the site has been down for weeks and no one seems to be working on it at all. So I would not recommend anyone actually hold there breaths waiting for the promised eardrops.

We originally set aside 4M NRG coins for the purpose of widespread distribution through the Earndrop campaigns. So, looking into the project it is my understanding that, as time passes on, the POS rewards get smaller? If not, the only offsetting thing to me is the amount of inflation that could constantly push the price down. What's to stop this from happening? Is there a maximum number of coins? It just seems like it will hyper inflate and lose all it's value over time.
1M NRG will always be released per month, but this will be a decreasing amount of inflation as that 1M is a smaller percentage of the total supply over time. PoS rewards will decrease over time as more NRG is collectively staked. The worst of the inflation was the first year and NRG held up just fine, in fact, it still outperformed almost every other cryptocurrency.
There is no maximum number of coins in Energi because the Treasury and Masternode allocation are essential to Energi’s survival, and are essentially the engine behind Energi. Thus we do not see a reason to give Energi a “death sentence” by removing its engine. The treasury funds have allowed us to expand to a 40 person team and you can see where these funds are directed here: https://www.energi.world/treasury-history/
