From what I have read it looks like they are operating a live casino and do not have a gambling website.
Also, it does not accept crypto as of yet so that will be challenging. Whether or not they accept crypto in future they will still receive a good response from the gamblers.
But if they plan on to create a gambling website too then that would be more beneficial for them and the gamblers as well.
Well, it isn't odd, an online casino would still need a license from the higher-ups even if it was fully online, so I guess this could also work as one as long as they add it in the contract that they signed (that, or it's a sub license of sorts I guess?). Plus a crypto casino is still something out of the way ig since it's a casino under a country. Allowing it to operate as a crypto casino could be seen as them accepting crypto, but that would also require them to accommodate regulations for crypto in general, and not only in casinos, so it isn't that odd.

The Dutch government has recently had a positive attitude towards cryptocurrencies, which led to the legalization of cryptocurrencies at the legislative level, so if a casino complies with all the laws then it can get a license for both land-based and online placement. I think this is a good practice as it will bring additional income.
There would be those kind of considerations and they aren't blind with those opportunities as long they would able to comply on whats been asked or required.

It is indeed true that they would really get that additional income and its good that government had really had some positive views and perceptions
towards crypto which is already a plus.

License is something a common thing for a business to have yet this is really adding up some boost or assurance or confidence into those users which
do tend to make use of their service.

The licensing structure of traditional regulators has always been a bit iffy.

I don't think that they do much when it comes to promote security. Just look at the Curacao licenses.

Nor are they that effective in keeping the consumers safe. The fact that there are only 10 licenses given for this category in the Netherlands means that there is very little competition which is inherently bad for the players, who will likely see terrible odds.
10 would be enough and i dont see for it not to be that serious issue when it comes when you are trying out to compare those odds with those 10 platforms/sites.
License isnt everything when you are looking for this as a indicator for a gambling site/place to be legit and i dont really believe much about users security on anything.
You do really have that on point elaboration and comparison between curacao licenses which are actually on point and real.
If we talk about a small but rich, as it is written above, country, then 10 licenses is a lot.  And on the scale of the entire world gambling market, this is generally nonsense.
I also do not really understand what does the licensing of casinos with cryptocurrency have to do with it?
And what does this license generally imply if you compare it with Curacao in terms of better security and protection against gambling addiction?
What is the advantage of this license for cryptocurrency casinos and can they even get such a license?

Another choice of the people to spend their money on the entertainment field still its better to try different gambling so they choose the suitable gambling casino to them still it requires a lot of permits before getting operate. Still need to get good security, authenticity, and integrity to make sure the users feel it is safe. Just wondering how they cost to release a gambling platform, nothing new if their country might increase the number of people gambling and increase gambling addiction.

Curiously marijuana is legalized there, while gambling is severely stricted at same time. Anyway, for crypto gamblers these news don't have an impact at all, because only fiat platforms are going to be considered legit by the local regulators, consequently being endorsed by them, what doesn't mean it's an issue too, since gamblers from Netherlands will be still able to bet at crypto currency casinos they wish to access.

They're big but how come we don't hear of them? Anyways, I didn't know that there are countries out there that have online gambling as an illegal gambling activity, what could be the reason for that though? They have a small population though so I don't know how big of an impact they will bring when it comes to the online gambling community.

They have a big name in the said country. Maybe we aren't familiar with them because we're from a different location. Since they're fiat-based, I think they're planning to develop their business more. It would be better if they would also switch into crypto space so other nationalities could also play. Having a license is still an advantage especially these days that the competition is too strong.
As much as they seek for a license from the government, we can really say that they are big companies even if we are not familiar with it. Yes they are starting to adopt the change because they have to or else they will left behind, let's see if they will also offer crypto payment options since they are fiat casinos and if this new law of Netherlands includes crypto gambling.

Entain one of the world’s largest sports-betting and gaming groups gearing up to granted a Dutch gambling license in  first half of 2022. The company plans to submit its license application in the fourth quarter of this year. The Netherlands had in April 2021 passed a law legalizing online gambling and operations are to abide by its very strict demand. It should be noted that awaited online gambling market opens midnight on Friday 1 October.

So far only ten entrants will be allowed to operate while the applications of other companies are under review. Some of the companies that will be allowed to operate include; Play North, Bingoal, Toto Online, Holland Casino, NSUS Malta.

It's interesting that UK listed Entain managed to get a license, when all the other operators look like "locals" - not that it should matter if they are a responsible gambling company who can pay the highest price for it. It'll be interesting to see whether this newfound addiction to gambling revenues drives more European countries to open up and compete. It makes sense really because you either have to allow it or the revenue will be picked up by your neighbors from online gambling. Let's hope that all of these operators act responsibly so that more licenses will be issued rather than causing the government to change their mind and revert back to the old bans.

Just newly hear them on this thread and obviously crypto peeps doesn't know about this as they are not accepting it on their casino so maybe if they shift their ways and decide to accept crypto maybe they can accumulate more gamblers to come in their platform. But as they are new to me maybe I will still monitor them to see if they are really good since I'm not the type of gambler who goes with casino which been hype here and I always look after with their result and trust score.

Many people who are not into gambling sometimes consider it as bad habit but they need to realize that it's just entertainment sort of way for many players if you play it in limits only. This move could surely improve the gambling industry as a whole as the casino is getting license in the country could surely start a chain of similar events that could later on benefit the whole gambling industry. This move is appreciable even if other opposed this.
As long as people can consider that playing gambling is just part of enjoying their lives and for entertainment purposes, they will realize that they do not have to play gambling for a long time.

And with legalizing online gambling, that will give people to search for fun at their home while the Covid still exists with them. What they need to be aware of is how they can manage their time to gamble because once they get fun by playing gambling, they can forget the other things that they need to do.

Hopefully, with online gambling being legalized in the Netherlands, that can make some online gambling start accepting crypto to gamble. If that can happen, it can boost the existence of crypto in the Netherlands.

Despite being a fiat based gambling, entain's licensure in Netherlands could create impact to the gambling community in general because the license promotes healthy environment and it ensures the players on the reliability aspect of the company.  It's nice to know that amidst all of the challenges that we are facing, a country is opening its border to welcome a new opportunity for their country.

We're aware that most countries are not really in favor with gambling, but Netherlands is on the opposite side. I think their government officials have thoroughly thought about this and they have plans already laid down for a successful flow. After all, gambling is not really bad. It's the people who are undisciplined that cause problems. I just hope they will spread awareness and educate their citizens about the all possible effects (positive and negative) that gambling can bring upon their lives, so that they will not be on the losing end and both parties will benefit.

It will be good news for online gambling to expand their business in the Netherlands and reach more gamblers from that country. Although the operations will need to abide by the strict rules, that will not be a problem for both sides. But I wonder if online crypto gambling will also be legal like fiat online gambling because if that can happen, it could attract more crypto gamblers to playing on the gambling site. It could bring a chance for online gambling to become more popular among offline gambling.

Other than that the taxation is horrible, they have increased the tax rates to 30.1%, when asked about it apparently it was because of the delayed Online gambling licenses. Which I do think is really high, if they are just starting the new companies will have a probelm registering and earning profits for the long run.

I do think that the whole idea would be not only implementing safe Gambling practices but at the same time taking care of the Privacy as well, most sites are gonna ask for the email and you must report the winnings as well.

The news perse is amazing but I do think that the country still has to workout their laws regarding gambling and make it more user friendly as well so that more people would be involved.

While it obviously seems that obtaining a gambling license in the Netherlands seems much easier than for example, getting a gambling license anywhere else in the EU, especially in countries with stuck-up buerocratic nightmare laws like Germany, I still think it would have been more prudent to look for a gambling license in one of the Islands, with the added bonus of being tax havens, you would also get a license much simpler.

It doesn't and will not have an impact here in our community, but who knows there are players here who plays from fiat-based casinos from time to time it's still a discussion about gambling I'm ok posting it here, who knows in the future they will accept Cryptocurrency, they will soon realize there's a lot of advantages accepting or shifting to Cryptocurrency, gamblers are now shifting for anonymity.

I think accepting crypto won't happen soon.

As stated in the article, it was just this year where the Netherlands allows online gambling. It takes time for sure before approval so how long it will take for crypto to be considered and supported by gambling sites there. Looks like the Netherlands is now slowly improving their gambling industry. There is some news around involving that country that is related to gambling just like the topic.

It doesn't have to take long, Cryptocurrency is slowly taking over the gambling industry, the majority of the gamblers played or have been playing in a Cryptocurrency based gambling casinos and these fiat-based casinos should cover territories or keep up on what their players want
in the future, these fiat-based casinos will integrate Cryptocurrency or will have a Crypto casino version or sister company.
We have a battle of fiat-based casinos and Crypto based casinos and Crypto based casinos will eventually win.
