Wow! Looks like EOS is trending on Twitter right now Smiley All the best for the mainnet launch!
eos is a big hidden gem and eos is a big challenger for ethereum... eos will be on top after the launch mainnet of eos.
people are trying to dumb eos because they want to buy at cheap price then after mainnet price will be sky rocket.
now eos trending on twitter after mainnet we will see eos on breaking news.  Smiley

EOS hidden gem? Well, we agree about the gem, but to call it "hidden" is a bit unappropriate, discussions about EOS are all over the place Smiley

How to generate a EOS key pair?

I mean generated by an official EOS website/programme. So not something from https://nadejde.github.io/eos-token-sale/

is there an official one somewhere?

Hello,

I would like to know whether there is anything to do before 1st June when owning EOS tokens (with known private ETH address, so not on an exchange)? Maybe there is nothing special to do in order to get the upcoming EOS coins, but it is written here and there that some airdrops will only occurr if we have an EOS address before 1st June. There are several unofficial posts about it (including with the promotion of a smart contract supposedly linking the tokens with the upcoming coins), but how can I trust them? What I find incredible is that I found nothing from eos.io. Every material is unofficial. How is that possible? I must have missed something...

Thanks for your help and for any official information you can point to!

Ok everyone,

what Do I have to do when my coins are in my ETH-Wallet? I cant find reliable information about that (perhaps I'm just too stupid Wink) Is there a new EOS wallet where I can store my coins?

And what about the airdrops? What do I do with the EOSdac-tokens?

Please help me Cheesy

If you own EOS or eosDAC ERC20 tokens, you need to register your Ethereum address with an EOS public address to receive the coins on the EOS network.
Two easy guides for registering your EOS before the launch of the EOS Mainnet:
Register your EOS tokens using the Ledger Nano S : https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=gPq9rHdj_5o
Register your EOS tokens using Exodus wallet (register for free token airdrops) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXp_L252xGs
When the EOS main net launches next month, the ERC20 tokens held in the registered Ethereum address will be credited on your EOS address.
Youtube links where published in a steem post : https://steemit.com/eos/@crypt0/important-register-your-eos-tokens-here-are-my-two-tutorials-ledger-and-exodus-both-easy-methods
And this awsome guide can help a lot: https://bitcoinist.com/june-1-almost-register-eos-eosdac-tokens-lose-forever/

Thx for the info.

Does someone already know what you need to do AFTER main net is released if you had your ERC20 on a ETH-Wallet ? How to acces to our real EOS after main net ?

Does someone already know if our tokens will disapear?

If you had your ERC20 on an Eereum wallet after the release of the mainnet then they should be desepeared and has no utility anymore. If you would not register your EOS tokens, it will be better to store them in one of the exchanges that will support the swap like cobinhood or huobi (Do your own searches about those exchanges from official channels before deposit your tokens into them) or you may loose them forever.
Simply register them following this guide post published by user drdata in this thread:
I finally answered my question about how to register safely, i.e., relying official links only. In order to help some of you, here is what I found.

In order to register, go to https://eos.io/ and click on the button "GET EOS", almost at the bottom, and right below the rotating logo. This button is not only for EOS token distribution, as one may figure out from the webpage design. After checking all the boxes, you will access to a page where you can buy, register and claim (see section "How to Participate"). Click on "register", or choose the "register" tab in the section "Participation Instructions". I let you read from there.

Interestingly, if you choose the MyEtherWallet option, you can generate a pair of public and private EOS keys. No need to use some third-party website as many advice, which I find very dangerous.

Using MyEtherWallet, you will issue a transaction with the "EOS – Contribution" contract. It should not take more than a few minutes if the transaction is sufficiently filled with gas. Take care, it is written and said everywhere that the "Gas limit" should be above 90000 and you will be fine. This may not be true. You need to have a gas price high enough, which is set at the top of MyEtherWallet pages. I used 20 Gwei, which is probably higher than necessary.

EOS is a platform for smart contracts, in which everything is done to ensure that developers do not have any difficulties in creating distributed applications. First of all, we are talking about the introduction of unified schemes for accessing activities with the account and processing the database. In fact, this is an API that allows you to easily convert the JSON data format into binary executable algorithms. The principle of organizing the network infrastructure allows you to use any existing solutions that support virtualization.

Thank you for the pointers. But how can I be sure this is legit? Are there official links, directly or indirectly available from eos.io?

don't forget to move eosDAC token too from your erc20 adress to some exchange that will support the swap, like bithumb for example,  or do it by yourself

eosDAC token will also undergo token swap process
in order to adapt EOS mainnet.

regards.

All this confusion about addresses and registration of tokens makes me think that most holders will dump it before the mainnet launch.

or just move their coins on exchanges that will support the swap
cause, duping now could be dangerous, the price can rise a lot with the mainnet
