A friend of mine who does not have an account here on bitcointalk wanted me to post this here to get an answer:
He has a wallet with Exodus and wants to know if Exodus will support the airdrop he needs to be ready for before April 15th to get the eosDAC tokens:"Hello:
EOS is giving us another token through an air drop besides the token they are giving us after June. Exodus has the registration set up for the June one, but do they have anything set up for the one we need to register for before April 15th? Here are the details:
If a person owns more than 100 EOS ... There is an AirDrop to these EOS Token Holders All EOS token holders holding over 100 tokens* at the end of (April 15th 2018, 01:00:00 UTC) will receive 1 eosDAC token for each EOS token that they hold, these tokens will be transferred directly into their Ethereum (ERC20 compatible) wallet.. we need to register our EOS tokens before April 15th....
If I keep my EOS tokens inside of my Exodus wallet will I get the 1 eosDAC token for each EOS token that I hold? Is my EOS wallet in Exodus able to receive these? Or, should I move them to a MEW wallet which is compatible to receive the eosDAC tokens?
Thank you for your help with knowing what to do. I do not want to lose out.
Verify what I said here: https://eosdac.io/tokens/ " unquote ( end of my friend's questions )
UPDATE: He got a response from Exodus that said:
Unfortunately, Exodus will not be supporting the eosDAC airdrop directly. There are so many forks and airdrops occurring weekly it is not possible to keep up with all of them.
Having said that, you will receive the eosDAC token in your Exodus wallet if you have 100 EOS or more in your wallet at the time of the airdrop and your EOS address is registered. However, the eosDAC will not be directly available in your Exodus wallet; you will need to export your private keys to access the token, you can find more information here:
https://support.exodus.io/article/697-how-to-deal-with-airdropped-token-with-exodusPlease be very careful with your private key! It controls your ETH and all your ERC20 tokens. I recommend deleting the private key file from your computer and emptying your Recycle Bin after use, or else you risk your assets by someone copying the file.
I hope that helps. Do stay in touch and let me know if you have any more questions.
