EOS platform launch and end of ICO by June should cause upward pressure in price for EOS. If crypto market gets into a decent rally by then, that will boost it even more.

The current EOS, in my opinion, is a formidable competitor to Ethereum. The EOS project is based on the Ethererum but has been improved to make smart contracts faster and smoother than ETH. EOS uses Web Assembly language, driven by performance. Therefore, the EOS exchange rate could rise sharply and surpass ETH is possible in the future, so if the EOS investment should hold for long-term.

This is great i heard that EOS is one of the best contender of Ethereum, and they said that it has lot rooms to grow but the development team has something big this year. Will just wait for their special project to be release.
I did see eos pump from new release being added to github on time
was first ever seen where progress on code got pumped instead dumped
ETH has more residual effects due to all the ICOs running on it.
did you see what happened with any upgrades from Ethereum? maybe I'm missing some news from them about this.

EOS is a very strong project. Though i think the reason of this recent pump is Bitfinex's announcement to add EOS/fiat trading pairs.

I don't think so, EOS is a very good project, only that their developers are not good enough.

There are some projects who are hardworking and they are not even on the top 100 yet.. not even on the 200.. But, i am very bullish on EOS anyways.

Dan Larimer is not good enough? how so?

Yea, to me he is not good enough. He has a history of unfinished products, and i am following his work since he started with Bitshares. I personally dont like him, and many share that opinion.

The thing is that the EOS price is still being diluted by the ongoing ICO. Also as it was already mentioned EOS has yet to show that it deserves its valuation.

EOS can become a serious competitor for ETH. People will begin to be interested in similar coins after ETH has fallen dramatically. This is a normal process. Usually several coins rise after the leader falls. Even if this fall is temporary.
I do not think that the EOS will be able to compete with ETH this year, but the project is very interesting and promising.

I still don't think EOS would out perform Ethereum, the only thing EOS is marketing is the transaction speed, and Ethereum is working on its own scaling issue. Just look at the BTC for example no one is talking about the transactions fee and speed again since LN was launch because it is supper fast

Now the market is constantly changing. In one day is green, second day is again red. So comparing which coin is better now makes no sense. The only good way is looking in longer time, where ethereum is better than EOS

Market is down, red, bloodbath, and nosedive, yes thats a bad thing

But EOS seem to have something going

Look at EOS price in "ETH" term https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/eos/eth, it has historically perform better in ETH terms
Most other altcoins are down against ETH, but if you bought EOS you would have preserved the or even make more even in a bad market like now

EOS has something going on, and may be interesting
Yes I am also amazed to see the state of the market like this, EOS shows a good graph than other coin. This is a bit out of the question because other coins are experiencing drastic declines.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/eos/. Take a look at the existing charts and we become pretty sure to be able to invest in EOS, now I am also optimistic about EOS and I will try my luck in EOS. This is a promising investment. Do not be disappointed because we are late buying EOS.

EOS is indeed very interesting. Dan Larimer's projects will usually produce a pretty good return once the main net launches. With EOS still being a token and the inflation that is going on due to the new ICO investors, there is absolutely every reason for EOS to continue its way up once the ICO ends.

The price of EOS in BTC has stayed put, even though BTC has dropped drastically.

I would be on the lookout for this coin since the main net launch is closer and closer. It's quite a promising coin if done right, tbh.

Tokens that is written with the goal to attack and compete with ETH and Bitcoin will see some good gains short term

Agreed. People would definitely see it as a hedge against ETH and BTC which have both been performing absolutely horrendously over the past month, due to the crypto bubble popping mainly.

However what it's really a competitor of is Ethereum, not BTC.

There may be reasoning in saying that some ETH investors now want to hedge their bets with this new prospective platform, and they are not wrong to do that at all. I bought some EOS at $0.9 or so and I'm still holding to this day.

EOS is off the radar. Only serious crypto investors know much about it. EOS is not that aggressive in term of promotion. It has high performance with low profile style. They don't do sweet coating offer. EOS can become a strong challenger to most main crypto coins in the near future.

You kidding me right. EOS is so on the radar. It was one of the most hyped cryptos last year, definitely the most hyped ICO in 2017, and is still hyped now. Just look at all the posts in this thread. Everyone says good things about EOS but have no evidence to support it.

The evidence I do not forget is EOS was a clone. Author got shamed into making it better. They were doing daily ICOs. Pure nonsense that thousands of people bought into, raising millions for the founders who of course have lots of funds to pump the price.

No sweet coating? Low profile? Are we talking about the same EOS?
