What is the best platform to build a ICO? Neo or Ethereum?
for today i still believe ERC20 Still dominating on the cryptocurrency.
but overtime if they don't made any change that's be surely can be replaced by NEO.
and basically I still have faith to Ethereum. if they made this transaction more cheaper and fast,
I guest they are will be the best crypto technology on this blockchain era.
ERC20 is for Etherum based project and NEP5 is Neo based project. Currently ERC20 have more project on it's chain compare to NEO. Having more project means they are doing something right that made projects to chose them over NEP5. ALmost all the ICO I have come across 9 out of 10 is ERC20 based. Maybe that would change in the future but now ERC20 is still the leader.
Doesn't it cost something like 490 GAS to run an ICO on NEO? That seems like a pretty huge barrier to entry. Something to keep in mind.
The high gas requirements is their barrier for scammers to run ICO from NEO. only a serious company will run ICO on NEO and this is good for the investor and even the NEO blockchain itself.

The success and ease of ERC20 is for the moment ahead but the future holds surprises for us

I really believe NEP5 will surpass ERC20 in the long run if Ethereum won't upgrade their scalibity and transactions their are platforms that will surpass ETH in the long run. I'm a Big fan of NEO hope it will last forever.
That's why you don't even read the latest economic whitepaper and a new roadmap of ethereum platform. Ethereum will move to hybrid system, raiden,plasma and especially sharding blockchain to compete with visa scalabilty with million transaction in minute.
NEO platform is fairly new but in the long run it might take over Ethereum's smart contract platform. Sure we will see a big competition there. Right now we don't know how successful NEP5 tokens will be, but we already know ERC-20 tokens are very successful. This competition is healthy and good for everybody. It makes better products for both side.
I really believe NEP5 will surpass ERC20 in the long run if Ethereum won't upgrade their scalibity and transactions their are platforms that will surpass ETH in the long run. I'm a Big fan of NEO hope it will last forever.
In the longer term i believe nep5 will overtake erc20 as the technology and fees for NEO make it better for launching ICO and other coins. The only problem at the moment is the lack of choice for good wallets for NEO. Right now there is the official one, or NEON wallet which is good but we could do with a few more that offer nep5 support anyway.
I think that both will exist together for a long time. Stellar platform is pretty god for ICOs too. For now Im a big fan of NEO platform - NEX, Effect and Bridge protocol ICOs look very promising. NEO is the sleeping giant of 2018.
NEO is an upgraded version of ETHERUM which makes NEO ahead on almost everything,that is why it is being called the chinese ethereum.ERC20 might eventually replace by these new and improved NEP5 neo based coins.But either of the two has good platform to use,it only depends on your point of view.But for me NEO has more advance technology than ethereum so i prefer the NEP5 tokens.

All depends what are you aiming for these two are not the only platforms you have lisk,waves etc. As it goes neo have smart economy view and are focused on the future. Tho NEO is working close to the government so question is around anonymity there. But it can be interesting because China will look into regulating some part of it.
I think NEP5 eill slowly take over ECR20. Neo is much faster with low fee and less scalability.
