BetOnBitAll matches are BO3. Betting risk is high at the start of the group stage.
Nigma is having trouble with catching their old form. The former The International winners don’t look too good at the moment. After switching organizations and adding w33 to their starting roster, some things changed. They don’t look dominant anymore like they used to. Is the problem in the new meta and new patch or is the problem much deeper? I think the answer is somewhere in between. They failed to qualify for ESL One Los Angeles as well as StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor a few days ago.
After 2 roster changes in late January, I would say that NiP are looking better and better. They ditched Gunnar and Biver for Daxak and Lelis, which was a good move overall. It will be interesting to see how far this change can bring them. They were one of 3 teams from Europe who qualified for the ESL One Los Angeles Dota 2 Major. Really impressive result in such a short period with a new lineup.
According to the latest odds for this match, Nigma are slight favourites with 1.60 betting odds for their win. On the other side, current odds on NiP win are2.16. Even though NiP impressed me in ESL One LA qualifiers, I would give a slight chance here to Team Nigma. Overall, they are looking better on paper and I think their individual quality and Kuroky’s drafting abilities can bring them the first win in this group stage. My match prediction here: Team Nigma victory.
Virtus.pro is another team who changed a few players early in the season. At the start of February they’ve replaced epilectick1d and Save - for Cooman and Zayac. Those 2 players should be a real big reinforcement for the VP squad, but they still haven’t adjusted to the line-up. I will say that it was expected, and it’s still too early to make any assumptions. It will be interesting to see how they will perform in their first big tournament. Moreover, while Virtus.Pro are considered an underdog team, they really have a potential to surprise us in WePlay Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon and upcoming tournaments.
On the other side there is Aggressive Mode, who’s Dota 2 squad united especially for Dota 2 Major qualifiers. Aggressive Mode took NaVi’s slot for this Dota 2 tournament, as NaVi qualified for it as winners of Reshuffle Madness 2019. Sadly, NaVi decided to skip this event. They are led by controversial Ukranian player Lil and Greeks Skylark and Spartan. However, I don’t think that they can do a lot here. With Nigma, NiP and VP being in their group, they are likely to finish in last place.
According to the latest odds for this match, Virtus.pro are big big favourites with very low odds on their victory (1.11). On the other side, if you believe Aggressive Mode can win this best of 3 match, betting odds on that are 5.35. This match prediction is very easy and clear for me, as I believe Virtus.pro will win this Dota 2 match easily. I would even go with a clean 2-0 win for Virtus.pro here.
Secret and Gambit should win their matches easily.
