[DOTA 2] My picks and predictions for today's WePlay decider matches:

Gambit Esports - B8: BetOnBit
Nigma - Aggressive Mode: BetOnBit

Both matches are BO1. Gambit has opened this tournament in a nice fashion beating Infamous with a nice and easy 2-0 score. However in the winners match of group A, they played Team Secret. That match showed then that they are currently not able to beat the world's best team. Secret demolished Gambit with 2-0. New Dendi’s squad, B8, came to this tournament as a replacement team for a Chinese powerhouse Royal Never Give Up. They have lost vs Team Secret too with the same 0-2 result, and they have won against Infamous. Infamous is clearly the weakest team in this group, and was the first team to be eliminated from it. Gambit will face B8 now, but I don’t think Dendi’s squad has a chance against a decent Gambit team. I think Gambit will take this match and will move forward to the playoff stage of the tournament as the 2nd ranked team from their group.

Group B was really weird. VirtusPro ended in 1st place in the group, while Nigma and Aggressive Mode are fighting now for the 2nd place. Sadly, and unexpectedly for me NiP lost both matches, and are out of the tournament. Pitty, because they really showed good performance in ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Europe closed qualifiers. Nigma won vs NiP with 2-0, but unexpectedly lost vs VirtusPro with 1-2. I must say, VirtusPro is looking really strong, and as I’ve said a few days ago they will fight for the throne. Aggressive Mode lost expectedly vs VirtusPro with 0-2, but they have beat NiP in close 3 map series, taking the match with 2-1. Nigma vs Aggressive Mode is the match for the 2nd place and the better seeding in the playoff stage. I think Nigma is clear favourite here, as Kuroky and his squad can’t lose this and let this opportunity go. They are too experienced.

[DOTA 2] My bets and predictions for day 1 of WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon:

Gambit Esports - Infamous: BetOnBit
Ninjas in Pyjamas - Nigma: BetOnBit
Team Secret - B8: BetOnBit
Virtus Pro - Aggressive Mode: BetOnBit

All matches are BO3. Betting risk is high at the start of the group stage.

Nigma is having trouble with catching their old form. The former The International winners don’t look too good at the moment. After switching organizations and adding w33 to their starting roster, some things changed. They don’t look dominant anymore like they used to. Is the problem in the new meta and new patch or is the problem much deeper? I think the answer is somewhere in between. They failed to qualify for ESL One Los Angeles as well as StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor a few days ago.

After 2 roster changes in late January, I would say that NiP are looking better and better. They ditched Gunnar and Biver for Daxak and Lelis, which was a good move overall. It will be interesting to see how far this change can bring them. They were one of 3 teams from Europe who qualified for the ESL One Los Angeles Dota 2 Major. Really impressive result in such a short period with a new lineup.

According to the latest odds for this match, Nigma are slight favourites with 1.60 betting odds for their win. On the other side, current odds on NiP win are2.16. Even though NiP impressed me in ESL One LA qualifiers, I would give a slight chance here to Team Nigma. Overall, they are looking better on paper and I think their individual quality and Kuroky’s drafting abilities can bring them the first win in this group stage. My match prediction here: Team Nigma victory.

Virtus.pro is another team who changed a few players early in the season. At the start of February they’ve replaced epilectick1d and Save - for Cooman and Zayac. Those 2 players should be a real big reinforcement for the VP squad, but they still haven’t adjusted to the line-up. I will say that it was expected, and it’s still too early to make any assumptions. It will be interesting to see how they will perform in their first big tournament. Moreover, while Virtus.Pro are considered an underdog team, they really have a potential to surprise us in WePlay Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon and upcoming tournaments.

On the other side there is Aggressive Mode, who’s Dota 2 squad united especially for Dota 2 Major qualifiers. Aggressive Mode took NaVi’s slot for this Dota 2 tournament, as NaVi qualified for it as winners of Reshuffle Madness 2019. Sadly, NaVi decided to skip this event. They are led by controversial Ukranian player Lil and Greeks Skylark and Spartan. However, I don’t think that they can do a lot here. With Nigma, NiP and VP being in their group, they are likely to finish in last place.

According to the latest odds for this match, Virtus.pro are big big favourites with very low odds on their victory (1.11). On the other side, if you believe Aggressive Mode can win this best of 3 match, betting odds on that are 5.35. This match prediction is very easy and clear for me, as I believe Virtus.pro will win this Dota 2 match easily. I would even go with a clean 2-0 win for Virtus.pro here.

Secret and Gambit should win their matches easily.

First team that qualified for the SL Dota 2 Minor is Gambit Esports. Let’s say that was expected. And let’s say Cyber Legacy was unfortunate enough to play vs them in the first round of those qualifiers. Gambit won with 2-1 and they progressed to the next round where they have beaten forZe with the same score. Cyber Legacy is set to play vs Hellraisers on 14th February in the lower bracket. Loser goes home, and the winner advances on to the lower bracket finals where they will face off forZe for the final spot on the Dota 2 Minor. Hellraisers entered this tournament with a 0-2 loss vs forZe, which was a bit surprising for me. I expected a win for HellRaisers, but we must admin forZe was amazing in that match and they deserved the win. I’m not sure how Hellraisers would come back after this though loss. Cyber Legacy really impressed me in ESL One LA qualifiers this week, and they are progressing slowly in terms of decision making and team play. That’s the reason why I decided to give them a chance and go with them. I think they have a big chance to win this match and to knock Hellraisers down. 2.03 odds on Cyber Legacy are just amazing.
The game will commence within 2 hours and Gambit did their way to become qualified to this minor. The next goal of all the qualified teams is only one and that is to become the champion for this SL minor to become qualified to ESL one LA major.

Only one team will be on that spot and sure that everyone will have to thrive their way. For the Europe qualifiers, I'm counting on Nigma as well, they are known for the "lower bracket strategy" but I think they are in true struggle.

[DOTA 2] My bets and picks for final day of SL Dota 2 Minor qualifiers (CIS + EU):

Cyber Legacy - HellRaisers: MY PREDICTION
Team Liquid - Nigma: MY PREDICTION

First team that qualified for the SL Dota 2 Minor is Gambit Esports. Let’s say that was expected. And let’s say Cyber Legacy was unfortunate enough to play vs them in the first round of those qualifiers. Gambit won with 2-1 and they progressed to the next round where they have beaten forZe with the same score. Cyber Legacy is set to play vs Hellraisers on 14th February in the lower bracket. Maybe I’m making the same mistake as yesterday, but I really do think Nigma is a better team overall than Liquid. However, they didn’t show that in their first match in this StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor EU qualifiers. Liquid won vs Nigma with 2-0 with a pretty dominant fashion. Team Liquid continued on to the next stage, where they lost against a strong Alliance with a close 1-2 result. On the other side, Nigma was fighting vs Aggressive Mode in the lower bracket, but as I expected they weren’t making any bigger problems to Nigma. Nigma 2-0 Aggressive mode. Nigma will now once again fight vs Liquid for a place in the grand finals. Winner will play Alliance in the best of 5 series for the Dota 2 Minor spot. Depending on the draft, this match can go to all 3 maps, but Kuroky has way more experience in such high pressure matches. My pick here is Nigma to win.
