Is that dates confirmed or it was just a rumour? How many times we have been fooled that they say eth 2.0 is going to be released on this said date but still no eth 2.0 that came. I do not really know if the new mechanism of eth is going to be better or worst and if people will liked it but most of my concern are in the fee.
Obviously, he is speculating. There is no definitive date on when ETH2.0 will come on though we can be certain it will go fully live sometime in the near future.

I hope the fee will return to normal again just like the old days because I have lots of erc20 waiting to be sold. You said alternative are on other altcoins? But, what do you think about eth? Actually eth is also an alternative coin. There are also people that continuously earning a profit in eth so no they wont be leaving this coin. Sorry.
Do you think ETH fees will return to normal with the current protocol?

I personally don't think things will ever be the same again. ETH grew so big and with its growth, its scalability weakness got exposed.

*SNIP*

This article seems to have misled a lot of people.
The exact date when Ethereum 2.0 will be implemented was never really known. There were just attempts to estimate that time at Q1 2022. It looks like it wasn't very precise and it will happen a bit later. However, the article does not mention any major technical changes apart from the rebrand.

Even if it has changed its name eth 2.0 is coming they say by July of this year but i believe not later than the end of the year the pos will arrive and it will be definitive we must move towards other altcoins the alternatives are there but not as profitable as eth

In the last interview on February 18, Vitalik Buterin said that he did not know when the POS algorithm would be available. So far, the most profitable is to use dual mining of Ethereum+Ton and Ethereum+Alephium.

My guess is that NVIDIA, AMD and other large companies that produce efficient graphics cards have invested a lot of their money in Ethereum. In 2020-2021, they all made huge profits from selling hardware at an insanely high price. Miners are still buying new cards to beef up their GPU farms.

If Ethereum switches from a PoW algorithm to a PoS algorithm, these tech companies will most likely dump all their ETH coins on cryptocurrency exchanges, because they will no longer be able to manipulate the prices of modern graphics cards. In other words, PoS-based Ethereum 2.0 may be cheaper than PoW-based Ethereum 1.0, and perhaps ETH developers understand this.

AMD and Nvidia are public companies. They cannot do this without informing the shareholders.

They can do that indirectly, directly no, anyway, nothing surprises me anymore, the mafia has been controlling the gpu market for quite sometime.
The mafia will soon have big problems, because the demand for video cards after the end of ethereum mining will decrease many times over. Used video cards will fill all the sites selling used PC components. He is now receiving his future profits.

I also do not understand who then earns an additional 100-150 percent of the profit if video cards are sold at 2-2.5 times more than the recommended price.
Is the graphics card market in China very corrupt?
Or is it a conspiracy of sellers to maintain high demand in the market?

I don’t think AMD or Nvidia is inflating the price of Ethereum to get more GPU sales. I heard this theory before and I just don’t think it’s true.

It would cost more to keep ETH at extremely high prices for a long enough period to get more individuals to buy their GPUs. Also keep in mind when you pay $1000 for a GPU, they don’t get that $1000. They usually just sell the chip to some aftermarket manufacture like Sapphire which puts it into a PCB board.

ETH was suppose to actually go live with POS back in 2016. Everybody was talking about it like it was almost coded and going to launch. It actually prevented me from buying more GPUs in 2016.

I don’t know how the ETH devs feel when they have pretty much delayed POS by 6 years and it’ll be another 1-2 before it actually goes live. So don’t worry, it’s not going POS anytime soon. Keep mining.

Exactly.Do not worry about PoS coming live anytime soon,at least not until the end of this very year 2022 as a bare minimum but knowing the Eth developers I would predict if it will happen at all to happen at the end of the next year 2023 or the beginning of the year 2024 which is exactly 2 years from now.

For the next bull run I think it will come before Eth going PoS so it is better to keep collecting Eth/Btc depending on how you receive payouts from your mining activity and at which coin you believe more, personally I receive the payouts in Bitcoin since a couple of months as I believe it will surely reach 100k for a coin during this year.

Yeah, that is what I think too, eth devs are the greatest manipulators to date in the crypto market. However I do think the merger will come before the next bulrun.

Once that is released then gameover eth for at least few months.
Just like buying any other altcoin right now and trying to HODL it. This month has already shown a glimpse of what the coming bear market will look like  Cheesy
Most Coins/tokens are going to drop by over 80%  especially the "hot" coins that hard sharp gains in the bull market.

At some point, I expect ETH to drop to less than $500. It's just speculation, but something tells me it may happen.

Yeah 100% agree, spreading truth like that, will make sheeps mad, they will try to cancel you ehhe, anyway, I'm expecting eth to crash below 500 usd, that has 95% chance right now. This hold up is normal, it will crash slowly and slowly and then will crash a lot. We will see the eth selling climax as soon as eth merger happens, I guess a little later than that, month or so.

Its part of ETH roadmap and nothing can change this anymore, I think June 2022 can't go wrong this time around so don't get your hopes up OP,  the only painful part is PoW algorithm that will be no more honestly ETH is the most profitable coin to mine I guess mining won't be as profitable anymore

You trolls should be very careful on buying eth, check this article https://cointelegraph.com/news/33-5-billion-worth-of-eth-trapped-in-largest-ethereum-contract

it seems that ETH 2.0 isn't happening any time soon or I misquoted the news ?
Unfortunately, the change of algorithm from POW to POS is happening at one point in time whether you want it or not. It's just a change in branding, but everything will go on and planned

Quote
The Ethereum Foundation today, following the lead of the blockchain's core developers, announced that the term "Ethereum 2.0" is being retired in favor of "consensus layer."

The rebrand reflects the fact that what's been called Ethereum 2.0 is really more of a network upgrade rather than a whole new network. To be sure, some major things are still set to change. Ethereum is shifting away from proof of work to a more scalable proof-of-stake chain. And mining, in which high-powered computers connected to the network compete to validate transactions so that they might mint new ETH for themselves, is also on its way out

It will definitely get postponed again but not getting off their roadmap, don't bother yourself about this PoS thing just keep mining ETH and prepare yourself for the staking if that's what you want or keep mining and take profits, ETH isn't the only PoW algorithm coins out there now
