Yes it is. They're now converting into fiat to make every pieces of their coins safe as the activation is approaching.
But I'm quite sure eth will recover soon as the exchange is recovering. Just hold our coins tight and wait for its pump this coming month.
For sure dev has something up for this.

I am closely monitoring ETH, BTC and litecoin. It seems that they have strong correlation , they grow and drop simultaneously .
My opinion is that they should not have any technical link but simply BITCOIN is "golden benchmark" in crypto currency world . That is if BTC is dropping than investors are certain that everything else will drop and are selling other currencies as well.

On other hand I myself do not like this logic because it would be rational to go from one currency to another if something is seemingly wrong with the first one.
But what kind of explanation is there?

Is there a correlation between the price of eth and bitcoin? It seems like every time bitcoin drops, eth dips too. I am not sure about other coins as I am invested in these two. Would it be wise to sell off my eth and just hold bitcoins? It keeps trying to go over $200 but keeps flailing.

The price may drop further, I see eth predictions as low as $120, this will be bearish for a while yet, and recovery will wait until bitcoins gains traction. If bitcoin dips further, expect sub $80 eth.

I agree and with "correcting itself "  I was thinking that one of the reasons price was dropping from high of  28th, 29th of June  is that the short term profit junkies were selling and also the 1st of August now could be a factor . Also in my mind  ~ 200   is something like a psychological barrier where it will be for a while.

Now every coin is converted to cash..its summer time..its normal..I also converted before my hollidays.  After 1 of August Bitcoin Segwit,Ethereum Metropolis will come.

Noone will ruin to zero so profitable thing like ETH or other projects. It is against the rules of game theory aka cryptoeconomic.

I don't think that ETH would recover easily anytime soon, because of the hacks that have happened where user's balance is disappearing, so it would take at least a month or two before things recover. Also, big ICO's are converting into fiat now according to cointelegraph.

Eventually is one of the terms that the holders will use when they hope that people will make the price of their coin go higher than it is right now. I really do think that the price of Ethereum will increase in value, if the main dev keeps going on the mainstream media and hyping his coin then the price of it will increase. With Bitcoin as a competitor it would be pretty tough for it to be #1.

It will rise in the future, because crypto newbs know only btc and eth because of mainstream media.

This is a general indication of the whole market, and the market will soon recover. Please keep your assets safe and wait until the right moment

Suddenly ETH is big dump but now slowly pumping.In this month most probably not big pumping I think.

Ethereum is NOT a store of value like gold/silver/bitcoin/litecoin. Its a speculative asset (meaning the price can go up and can go down). Ethereum tokens (ether) is used to fuel the ethereum network, so it is like OIL! Would you put your money in barrels of oil as a store of value? or would you put your money in digital gold/silver coins (bitcoin and litecoin) ?


PS : I am stating facts... so no counter-arguments please!

Yes, you are right, I think this might be the effect of people talking about a segment in August, so Eth is preparing everything for everything, but not only Eth is decreasing, Btc is also decreasing the current price, maybe it's just for some time . Then it will be possible to get back to normal for that price so just wait for his arrival and do not panic to throw it away.

you have to be patient and stop been panicking,I made alot from ETH in the past but I am presently finding a good entry to buy more because I see more potential in ETH and I don't think ETH can disappear like you think,this is minor price correction and I strongly believe ETH will spark and  bounce  back in no distant time,the fall in price is also due to the failure of ETH network

From what I've seen, without bitcoin, pretty much all those altcoins have as much value as those neat little computer programs you can find for free on internet download sites. Some hold the possibility of future real world use but most likely they are precursors to other, future programs, that will have real world uses one day. Without bitcoin to act as a gateway, the best you can do with them now is swap one token for another and that's not much use The tokens give you no stake in the technology, no stake in the companies that created them, pretty much nothing from what I can see. Intrinsic value: as much as those free programs on the web and that is close to 0

An unlikely but possible scenario is that something dramatic happens to bitcoin in August in terms of confidence or credibility. If that happens (loss of bitcoin gateway + loss of credibility) it is conceivable that those existing altcoins will revert back to intrinsic value. Never mind their current market cap (ever heard of Enron, The Mississipi company, West India company, etc?) they can go to 0 no matter how big they are now.

Staying fully "invested" in altcoins at this time is like doing acrobatics without a safety net.

It's all very speculative so be mindful of people giving you any kind of assurances one way or another. Only one trick I know to makes this easier: sell a part of your holdings now, a third or half, and then buy it back later if the world didn't end  At least you'll have a safety net and you will feel less anxious

Why Fear? Maybe you have many eth in your portfolio and was bought during its higher prices. This is trading, there are ups and down but definitely, it will continue to go up in summary. This is normal happening and just hold. When Eth was .01 btc we are happy with it before, now its more than that lol

I believe ETH will rebound in the coming days, weeks or months but ultimately if you are really afraid and can't bear the loss just sell what you have...
