The value of eth isn't restricted to investing in an ico, the entire ethereum ecosystem makes eth valuable.
The future will definitely see btc losing its place as king.
The natural replacement is eth. It has market penetration, brand name awareness, consistent development and the largest crypto ecosystem in the world.
It would be foolish to write it off.

If you are in for the long term just donot panic and hold, we saw similar downtrend in eth last hear but then eth was pumped to a new all time high price, i assume same will hapoen this year once eth reaches its long term support levels it will again pump and reach new all time high price.
I hope ETH price will never go below $150 because non-profitable mining on GPU for most miners. I'm sure ETH will make new ATH in future after Casper and Plazma production and if new bull run will begin in 2019-2020.
The price of ETH could be bad, but its never down to 10$, in my opinion. 9 months of 2018, ETH failed, very sure. But I think it's right, after a crazy year 2017.

LOL. That's a funny prediction. But yes, 2018 has been a bad year for ETH.
Mostly due to lagging behind it's immediate and superior partner bitcoin. Everyone in 2016 and 17 believed ETH is here to compete with bitcoin and bitcoin has rised a lot and it's time for Ethereum. But oh! we were wrong.
But Ethereum is not an immediate Bitcoin competitor. Ethereum is a diffrent coin with a diffrent use case. Bitcoin was and will be the number one in crypro. Mostly due to lagging behind it's immediate and superior partner bitcoin. Everyone in 2016 and 17 believed ETH is here to compete with bitcoin and bitcoin has rised a lot and it's time for Ethereum. But oh! we were wrong.
