$1500? $1400? Surely at some point you guys will want to get out until things settle down, right? Thanks.
i have Got Out when the price still at 18 hundred and i believe that is the best decision i ever made these days.
because i am totally planning to withdraw support from Ethereum and will transfer at least in Cardano or even polkadots because I wanna change my trend in Holding and welcoming new coins than those Older that i trust long time yet did not bring me fortune aside from bitcoin.

We are not dumb to sell our precious ETH just for some few thousand bucks. ETH is worth more than that, why would you sell your ETH on cheap price like $1400 or $1500? Even for $2000 is still too cheap for me
For those who have bought Ethereum in 2018 when the price subside down to 100$ are surely clearing their pocket now and selling Ethereum before it fells down back to 3 digits again.

Well when it was just fluctuating and falling, many people started getting scared and thinking of selling off. I'm not going to sell them at the moment as my target with it is still very far away, and I have a lot of faith in ETH growth in the near term. The recovery will happen soon and if you are quick and determined then it is possible to make a good profit from this correction.

Nope. Bought my ETH at close to $500 and I held out even when it was $80, do you think others who also held when they probably bought it even higher than me would have sold at $80 but didn't, and would do so now? You underestimate the patience of strong 2017 holders:P But no, seriously, this is a low point in the market and it could/will get lower, but it's nothing to panic about.

The market bullish trend is still very much active and the best profitable trading decision is to accumulate more if there's extra capital but there's no extra capital there's reason in selling the investment now because of the current dump in price.

To be honest, I am planning to HODL Ethereum in long term.
I bought some Ethereum when it was around $200 before, around last year. I have already taken profits partially when it was reach around $1,000+ before from the Ethereum I bought when it was $200.
With these recent dump, it is still ok, nothing to worry and panic.

Yeah, ETH just keep falling fast right now, it's already reach $1582 as we speak, but i'm still confident that ETH can bounce back to $1800+, and then in the second half of 2021 will hit $2000, let's just be optimistic right now.
there's no point to be panic and worry about it, it's still big win since i bought ETH in $1123, it's just a short correction for ETH, just hold and wait until the time is bright again for ETH.

I just want to tell you, you can feel I bought ETH when it fell to $90 and so far I haven't sold any ETH for a profit. This instinct in this market makes me always believe in it, even if people's beliefs don't put in it, I still hope the price will go up one day, and now as the past few days If it goes down to 10%, we see stories like this again. Be wiser to realize the basics, don't make yourself difficult and deceive yourself and only stupid will choose to leave.

Original post question is badly set : the real question is at what point would you increase your stack? Eth 2.0 is on the way and the future ( I mean in a long term view) is bright for eth in my feelings.

OP is not likely looking at a long term investment, he is kinda worried about the dump, so he must be investing on short term. That Eth 2.0 will come and I would say it's a great upgrade for ETH now but it all depends on the market situation, if bitcoin is not anymore bullish, then we might only see a little bullish effect but for long term, yes its gonna have a big effect.

I'm in it for the long term, but I'm a noob so this is my first experience with a significant decline in ETH value. As a person who's invested in the stock market for a long time, I guess I'm just having a hard time accepting the price of an investment dipping 10% in a day without an explanation. From the helpful replies on this forum, I'm starting to gather that it's sort of just an accepted event and most likely a market correction... I can live with that... Thanks to everyone for the replies BTW. They've been most helpful!

I want to sell a few on my stash and I'm feeling bad that I didn't sold at $1800-$1900. But it's still a good price for me, seeing it playing from $1500-$1700.
Those prices aren't bad for me and even if it go down to $1400. I've got my ETH lower than those prices so it wouldn't hurt even if it dips with those prices.
But it's best not to panic.

Price is unstable currently, the bullish run is already limited now, so I'm guessing that we are already experiencing a correction, and that's easy to spot looking at the price of bitcoin. It was not able to keep up the $60k, so it's going down, more down trend might be witnessed, so make the right decision now.

How long you have been here with crypto market?

Do you really consider 5% fall on the prices is the moment to decide what can be the good exit price?

It depends on when you enter into the market, few months back the price of ethereum was $400 so even $1200 can give them 300% returns.

Since Feb... Haha... Point taken and I feel a bit better... That said, I'm still a bit frustrated since I can't seem to find out WHY ETH just fell 10% in a day... Did I miss something? Does it have to do with the options expiring on Friday?

looks like there will be a correction, but of course I will not get out of the market and sell cryptocurrency that I own (make me lose), so I prefer to HOLD rather than sell it, because I believe the price will definitely increase again and the current correction will definitely not be the same as in 2018, so the price will definitely recover quickly and increase very high again, because cryptocurrency is very popular nowadays (more popular than previous years), so the price won't fall too much.
