ETH = mutable, centralized, inflationary, pos

ETC = immutable, decentralized, deflationary, pow

What matters is who backs ETH and who backs ETC.
Vitalik Buterin backs ETH. There is a lot of active development on ETH.
ETC is nobody's child.

Although several things are very much possible in the crypto-world but at the same time somethings are kind of difficult to be possible which sometimes can be categorised as impossible and among such is what op is saying that ETC will replace ETH where most development is on ETH and aside that ETC is only relying on the popularity of ETH in which without that, there is no room for ETC as at today.

only if ETH go pos, otherwise you won't have the boom of miner changing their target and supporting a new coin, that's what it take to go in the sky also, miner are very important for the lifespan of an altcoin, i do agree that ETC as a huge chance to increase in the future, it was created because ETH was facing that bug that destroy its credibility, but reaching this huge marketcap of ethereum will not be a joke for ethereum classic, it needs a serious support from buyers

I don't think ETC is under as active development as ETH... and PoS is not even robust in theory at this time.
