Yes,thousand dollar will not be increased within a short time. Hard fork is happened in January so that ETH going to reach 300$ because Ethereum Constantinople Hard Fork is very strong and it will be supported in Binance exchange also Myetherwallet.

I am pretty confident ETH will rise over 1k in price as it is one of the highest quality crypto projects right now. The only problem is with the current overall market conditions it will take years to happen.
Last year we have seen ETH was $1000+ but at the end of 2018 ETH was $100. Now ETH $150+, so next hardfork and few development news may come soon. So ETH may hit $1000 by the mid of 2019. Nothing is impossible in the crypto market as we have seen all the possibilities in the past year.
The market is still bearish and at this moment its pretty hard to expect value might go to $1000 even the hard fork happen's I think it is Impossible. However let's wait and see that too. My opinion is it will go upto $250 only if the hard fork happens.

It will but not for this time. remember ethereum still need to do a lot of update to migrate its POW to the hybrid POW combined with POS system that gives a lot of chance even small holders to take the advante from the ethereum network. in will possible for a few years later. 
It's not probable that Ethereum will rise over 1000$ fast..... maybe in late 2019 but most probable 2020 even if there will be a big bull run.. ICO market is still in crysis and that's the main reason for ETH low price.

there's nothing that imposible in crypto market, but for eth to reach 1000$ after hardfork would be quite hard to achieved. let's say if eth would go up maybe it would around 200$ to 300$, let's just hope for the best of crypto market.
