I am not sure if we should that much from ethereum this year. The market does not respond so well to fundamental analysis lately and the technical analysis are more in favour of a bearish market
Nobody is sure of it but still, nobody knows anything about the price of Ethereum. Probably, it can reach a thousand - something like that happened last year, right?

I hope we can see that the ethereum price is 1000 dollars by the end of this year. If an uptrend starts in the coming weeks, we can see $ 1000 until the end of the year. Prices increase at the end of each year 
Yes, prediction is quite true when you start analyzing the project not just knowing that market is really "dip" - bearish , so the second reason that give good opportunity for recorvery of Ethereum is update of version 2. Things will slighlty and significantly start to change in better when investors come in and that will come true in few weeks i suppose.
I think that is a possible option for the development of Ethereum. This currency attracts more and more strong investors in recent years.
I don't think any more about ETH at 1000 USD. It is just impossible to happen! I believe anything can happen in the crypto market but still, Ethereum will not reach 1000 USD very soon, at least not in this year. If Bitcoin breaks 20K USD again, then we can expect it. So, Do you think Bitcoin will break 20K USD in 2018? No way!
From on now ETH = 1000$ is possible only in future, currently it is probably not real that it will do x4+ growth, but that would be extremely healthy for the market, however.

I really wish this thing every day. Now Ethereum would rich good price in any time. In my opinion it will happen in winter.
I just think that ETH will catch up as the market matures and people understand the different use cases for crypto and why ETH is in such a strong position.
To be realistic. Ethereum will never catch up this year because of situations of the market i.e the market ought to be mature by now and for it not to be mature at this present moment, it mean all investors and traders should not expect much from this year market again.

No, It is not possible anymore. At the end, Ether can go to 500 USD or it can be stuck at 300 USD. But 1000 USD in this year? No way! Because Ethereum hasn't strong fan base now, many people left ETH, they are now investing in EOS or Ripple. Ethereum is a very good coin no doubt, but it will not reach 1000 USD very soon.
