I also hope that Ethereum will reach $ 5000 in 2018 as many predicted. However, I think that this will be very unlikely, this is too high compared to the current reality. Now the crypto market is facing a lot of difficulties, the price of Bitcoin and all altcoin is very low, the market will need a lot of time to recover. I think Ethereum will need more than a year to reach $ 2000, I guess the highest price that Ethereum can achieve this year is $ 1,500.

I dont think that eth will hit $5000 after 2018. As you can see now eth is in a big dip.. i think we are lucky if eth hit $1000 after 2018. And hit $1500 in 2019. But it's not bad to expect much in eth because it is the best coin and has a great future.

Currently, it is grossly undervalued and will rise to $2000 in the near future and I foresee it reaching $3500 by the end of this year. I think it might touch $5000 by the middle of next year and my reasons for making these predictions are the upcoming integration of the lightning network which will help bitcoin surge in a major way causing many other altcoins to surge along with it which includes ETH

Hopefully, that's gonna be one of the greatest big news in Crypto world, I know Ethereum has a potential to reach that, but to attain such growth in 2018 is really gonna be interesting, hopefully the bull return as soon as possible

I was also of the believe that ethereum will be able to get to this amount before the end of the year but with the current situation of crypto where price of coins have fallen to a low point and it doesn't look like it will recover soon, I think if the market recovers early enough, the price of ethereum might rise to $1500 before the end of the year and by 2019, it should get to $5000.

No, man, we will not see this price of Ethereum so early. I suppose, we have to be very patient to wait for it. Wait at least for 2-3 years and you will get your Ethereum for 5 thousand, I am sure.

I hope so. I have lost more than what I can imagine upon investing to ETH. I was thinking it will continue to rise up lately. I can only blame myself for it because I was just too excited to get my hands dirty that I forget the bloodbath is still on going. I might have to hold all these for the gains even until 2020. But I do agree than $5000 is a bit hard to achieve this year.

So better keep your plans long term and do not expect quick profit for the market is red in the mean time and we will have to wait a bit till we can get x10 profit. ETH might cross the $5000 value if Bitcoin boomed because it has an influence over the market. Besides, even if it did not cross the said value, it can give some good money for sure. The better thing is to own it for low prices.

Maybe ETH will reach 5000 USD in 2019 or 2020, but not likely in 2018.
The market has been suffering great loss since this January.
It will take a long time for the community to regain confidence for a real pump like that of 2017.

Most of the people are predicting very high values for ETH, they are not seeing how potential growth in ETH. $5000 is the too much high amount in the current situation of the market it is impossible to reach 5000$. My prediction for ETH is below 2000$ only.

Agree with your comments . ETH is not likely to increase in this stage as the down trend has not ended and many ICO projects are showing signs of selling more ETH, which will cause ETH to face a lot of liquidity problems. I think if you choose ETH as a long-term goal, it will definitely be profitable and you are completely assured if you invest in ETH.

ETH to $5000 would be really cool, not only for Ethereum itself but for all the tokens based on it's blockchain.

I suppose that even the rest of the independent coins would benefit for such a bullish market. Let's hope for the best and hodl.

I believe that ethereum has a potential to get a price which is more than $5000, but I don't think it can reach this kind of levels in the rest of 2018. In my opinion, its journey to $5000 can take maybe a few years.

LOL never gonna happen, it is too expensive for a coin. No one's gonna use the "smart contract" if it is 5000 each.

maybe in 2023 eth may be 5000.

it must make at least x10 fro achiece this. and it is impossible in 2 or 3 years. because whales scared new investors.

I think that 2000$ by the end of 2018 is quite realistic. 5000$.... I don't think so, honestly. Maybe if all or most of the other coins disappear, then ETH and BTC might become the new crypto standard.

We can't predict the market very easily. Specially the crypto market. Who thought that BTC will go up to $20000 level ?.

. So there is a possibility that the same thing can happen to ETH.

To reach the dream milestone of $5000 ethereum needs to do a lot and move alot towards north and that too support by huge volumes and money flowing into the market like crazy, to be realistic for any major moves eth first needs to 1k mark break it and then the previous high mark of $1400 needs to be broken to set new highs, once it breaks $1400 resistance i think it can travel to $2000 mark, so lets see how it goes.
