some peeps are suggesting me to mine ETH because its easy than btc but how's this.I need to analyze situation before jumping in and buying GPU.
 Huh Huh

Its easier to mine ETH but ETH is worth 0.000000001 bitcoin Cheesy so in the end, it doesnt matter what u mine. Minimal diffirences.

ethereum is currently 0.0227 bitcoin not 1 satoshi lol, at 1 satoshi it would be dead, i think you're trolling

Do not worry about the price of Ethereum. If it drops to below 0.015, I will buy back the Ethereum I sold before.

but the other will do the same? if yes then we are all good, we can keep mine forever at this point lol, but if vitalik start to dump again we are all screwed, let's hope for the former

That could be the reason why the Ethereum price is hovering around the 0.02 area. It is range trading.

i'm not sure i agree that gpu mining is easier.

i suppose it depends on the scale.

if you are just mining with whatever you have on hand for gaming.. sure, you can download a miner and point it at a pool. but even then the chances of getting ideal hash rates in this scenario are not guaranteed. many come here with "i'm only getting XX MH/s when other people are getting double" problems.

where as with bitcoin equipment, you buy, plug an address and wallet into the web interface, and walk away while the coins dribble in.

if you are planning a farm, eth vs btc really needs a properly designed, implemented and constantly tuned infrastructure to execute an operation that really tops out its gains. but its worth it if you have the drive and technical ability.

On both the profitability scale and on the fact that bitcoin mining is going to get twice as hard after the halving (reduced payout), i would say go for eth mining.
But even if you do so, i would presonally exchange all eth earned from mining and exchange them to btc. ETH will prolly go down in eth/btc pair, while btc/usd will obviously rise.

Hello guys I'm confused for which currency I should go ETH or btc for mining some peeps are suggesting me to mine ETH because its easy than btc but how's this.I need to analyze situation before jumping in and buying GPU.

I'm not into mining anymore but common sense tell me that it's more economical to mine eth than Bitcoin because of the difficulty level not only that it's more profitable too as Etherium price is going up and you are mining it at a minimal cost..

In my opinion it is better to mine eth, because it is easier and the price still can up quite high and you can still have a luck to make a profit in trading it into bitcoin

well, both of them are easy to mine , with low knowledge you can start to mining it, but the point is what do you need to mining it and the profit that you will take from them Wink

in the end, everything depend on your initial investment money and the resources that you have to maintain it, cheap electricity etc etc... also dont forget that ETH will turn to POS in the next year.

I though ETH turns to proof of stake coin next year, so no mining anymore. Anyway ETH is just very speculative coin with no real usage, so you cant count on its stable price longterm - actually I believe ETH could be very overpriced now given this year 10x price increase without increasing its real usage - good example of buble in my opinion.

And with Bitcoin, I would wait what happns after this year halving before investing any money to Bitcoin mining.

If you have more than one mining rig then i would go 50% - 50%, I would first try going with ETH as it seems that the price changes very often and if you are lucky you can make good profit exchanging them to bitcoin. The ETH volume and number of trades in poloniex exchange is pretty high.
Yeah I agree with you. Don't just mine one of the coins. ETH might be very big soon so I think that it may be a bit more profitable in the long run compared to Bitcoin.

I haven't make a deep research about the profit for each coin (haven't calculated the profit) but i see the market price of ETH which sometimes goes very very high so mining that coin can be profitable in the near future.
Ooops. I meant to write that ETH was profitable in the short run not the long run. Bitcoin is the coin that will be profitable in the long run. It is more of a hodl coin compared to ETH.

ethereum require gpu to mine, which are like 100x better than asic for mining, highly resealable and high warranty

in both cases you need cheap electricity, but you have more margin with ethereum, which is profitable even with 0.2 cent

I think both these currencies will be the means of payment and currency is highly competitive. So if you have a lot of money, you could buy 2 mining tools (ETH and BTC), because in the future the possibility of ETH and BTC will compete with tight. for now the ETH has a pretty good potential of currencies other than BTC.

I am looking forward in buying chip then thanks for your help.
