I have had enough of MEW. Mobile app not getting transactions, getting different balances on the web and mobile app and a non-existant support. Definately not the place I want to store my money in.

I use imtoken and trustwallet. both wallets are very good and safe. Compared to MEW, these two wallets are quite reliable. you can install it on your smartphone. or you can use metamask too, this wallet is great too.

I gave up on MEW a while ago... Like you, I got tired of it. I like both Metamask and Trust Wallet so much better now. I'd say if you're on desktop and do most of your transactions in Ether then Metamask is the way to go. If you're on mobile and like doing things in other markets (such as BSC) then you can't go wrong with Trust Wallet. Just my opinion..

MEW with metamask addon is a secure way to keep your coins.

You see, the statements you have put in, seem to be out of sheer frustration and lack of knowledge. If you have MEW then the mobile wallet is not MEW, it is different, are you sure you are using the proper apps?

Difference is balances is something I have never encountered, again this is supicious but all of the time a theft if happened has been a problem on the client side.

Support does not exist is true, but MEW is supposed to be used for advanced users who know how to secure their browser and JSON keystore file - they wont need any sort of support. If you are not an advanced user, I suggest the options provided by the users above.

I would like to hear from your side as well, about these two statements. Maybe there are some solvable problems here.

Sorry, but I do mention the facts. Some transactions are not registered on the mobile app. That is a fact.
The web based app did register the transaction, and therefore displayed a different balance. Another fact.
This problem was also reported by other users, but no response from the developers.
I did contact their support via the support function in the mobile app. Did get an automated response and nothing else.
Having mined Ether for since 2017, I think I am advanced enought to use MEW. What, do they require a phd to use their app, that clearly has some holes in it?

I do not use mobile wallet much because I do not use my phone very often. For desktop, metamask is my choice. Everything is quite simple with this browser add-on and the application has been recognized for many years. ICO, IDO or IEO investors frequently use this wallet to transfer their funds

Here's my top wallet

for mobile - imtoken

for dekstop - https://download.mycrypto.com/

mycrypto wallet will give you the easiest way to secure your money and you can use this even in offline mode.

I personally will never try to store my money on the webapp wallet consider there were so many hacked cases happened in the past.

How long have you been using this sir to your desktop? I'm just curious also have an interest as well to use it
to store some of my holdings. Because Just like you I don't use web wallet to keep my assets, but I used MEW for a couple of years
and til now so far so good even I heard a lot of negative feedback about it, just for me as long as you keep your private key safely
it is really safe.

Myetherwallet is my first ethereum wallet which make me learn and understand how an ethereum token works. It's makes me understand how to store, send, and manage with add custom my token in the simplest way. I've been using it for 4 years now and thank God I've never face any probleu with it. Connecting mew with metamask is my favorite way to explore defi world.
Tbh you don't need any new wallet, you only need to understand how it works. Hope you get your best one.

I never knew MEW had a mobile app Undecided

They have a mobile app from MEW but I did not use it I must comfortable using from web for a long time.
I must afraid also using MEW from mobile because of these things many hackers can easily can open you wallet easily so that's why I need to checked it or get some advice those people experience on that wallet.
They have a mobile app but if I'll be the one to be asked, I'll choose to use MEW through a laptop or desktop. I find it more convenient and that's what I prefer.
Although there are people who are always on the go and would likely choose the app. And upon downloading the app, check the official link as always.

The web for MEW to me doesn't have a problem and transactions are visible and there's no need to update anything from it because it's always updated as you login using with the method of your choice.
Mycrypto is a good option, I've used it and no problems either.

It cannot be that the MyEtherWallet wallet does not accept transactions. You are most likely doing something wrong. Without having all the information, we cannot say what this error is. MEW is a pretty solid wallet, although I also dislike some of its design since the last update.
It's better to just look on YouTube how to correctly make transactions with this wallet.

I use myetherwallet a lot, but only from my browser. I had only a few problems, after they updated their software last year, but overcame everything.
I don't like the new user interface and will never be really accustomed to it. It isn't better or more user friendly than the previous one either.
However, I never used mew on my mobile devices. It takes a longer time when you have to deal with private keys and adding ERC20 tokens. I don't like wasting time with mobile devices doing all that.

I already moved my wallet into Trustwallet, i think import Myetherwallet especially in past when they give people private key is easy. But in trustwallet itself be careful to not connect to any suspicious link. Because i see some hacking problem when they connect it. If me i use airdrop wallet different with my main wallet.

So far, I have been using MEW and there has never been anything that I didn't want. is it possible that the MEW you are using is not the real MEW ??
web phishing maybe.
As an option maybe you can use Metamask and make sure the Metamask is original from the website.
And for Mobil Apps, Imtoken & Trustwallet is recommended

MEW is the only best way to store your money and you can try to use metamask as someone suggested above but this is a bit complicated.

Here's the list of best mobile wallet for you.

1 safepal
2 imtoken
3 trustwallet
4 coinomi and many more

https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/

You can find bunch of wallets through that link. I hope that you may try to consider my list as well.

Fortunately never faced any issues like that with my ethereum wallet before, but I'm sorry you have to face it. I've experienced quite a lot of ethereum web and mobile wallets since 2017. First was My Ethereum Wallet (MEW) which is an okay experience, then Metamask that can connect me to DEXes like ether delta and fork delta at that time in a safer way, but I love to use mobile wallets more cause just like its name, it makes it possible to do the business while you're mobile. I love the ImToken wallet, and now there's a more advanced one like Trust Wallet.

Metamask browser wallet, but get it from the real metamask website. If you are on mobile there is a version there too but I would suggest the Argent or Dharma defi wallets over it.
