"It seems like part one of phase one is getting something like being already done," Vitalik Buterin said in a developer meeting.

The technology, known as sharding, attempts to split the ethereum blockchain's data into more manageable parts. Pointing to an initial spec posted on Github, Buterin said:

"It's theoretically a good spec of what minimal sharding is going to look like."

Ethereum is under pressure to keep up with the rising popularity of the platform, which has led to slower transaction times and high processing fees. The congestion has already led some token-based projects to build atop other blockchains such as Stellar.

Buterin went to state that the next phase of the four-stage scaling proposal will be completed in "a month and a bit," adding that development work will likely circulate on stateless clients, a type of ethereum software that does not need to process the complete history of the platform.

Etherium will be more then double at the end of 2018. The thing is as some said , how the tech team will handle the stuff bcs there are coins with a better and faster technology..

Not any coin can jump easily. All coin need more demand to grow more like bitcoin did.
In 2017 end, etherium will probably hit $800. It is being so hard since the demand is stuck so the price just hit $700 and correction again.

Now is 2018, the price of ETH has reached more than $ 1000. this also has experienced several times the price reduction.

Absolutely, if the team will do this year what they are going it will be just a bomb. The price will soar many times. I think we will see him around 2000-2500$

I think investors would prefer to hold it maybe for their personal transactions like buying of coins rather than exchanging or converting to bitcoin.

So, I see ethereum doing very well next month and will grow up to $1500.

I think ethereum has still a good price for buying. It has hit more than $1000 in the near past and in my opinion, expecting better from ethereum is logic.

It has hit $1000 in January! I believe ETH will get stronger through the year and maybe even 2k by early 2019. It a good time to invest in ETH.

Now it is easy to say this, but Ether price is quite driven by a few large actors. Normally it follows an upward patter, but there are frequent dips. Just catch one of those to avoid heavy losses.
