I think ETC price will see much better prices in 1 month. This is my vision. It is not an investment recommendation. If bitcoin does not prevent it, it will go out quite a bit.

ETC is a good coin , but coinbase listed only selected coins .
even ripple is not listed there , so i don't think coinbase will list it in near future .

Lot's of sh*t replies in the thread...  C'mon guys, you already know there's a blockchain snapshot that's going on for the new Callisto project.

That's the real reason.

A deleted tweet from last month which could explain the current pump?

Wow! probably that could be the reason why ETC are pumping right now. But there are a lot of news upcoming like the Callisto Airdrop on March many people will participate on this one so ETC price will reach around $100 and more.

The pump we are seeing right now is probably mainly due to the callisto airdrop what will happen 5 march. It is the same we saw when their was a bitcoin fork coming up, than prices also went up and up.
is this callisto AIRDROP really happen? which exchange support this airdrop? can you give me link of this news?

At present, the price of ETC is still very low. ETC is a potential coin. Very developed in the coming time. I bought the ETC at $ 22 and now it's going up. I will wait for the pump to continue to run for $ 100 this year

I highly doubt it will be on Coinbase for 2 main reasons:

1.  Coinbase supported the ETC fork and had a wallet created for it so people could receive and withdraw their ETC but chose not to support it for the exchange.  So they’ve had the capability all along and chose not to.

2. Coinbase said publicly that they want their listed coins to be unique to each other and obviously they already have ETH.

That Tweet of Brian Armstrong was on 2 Jan 2017, so quite some time ago. A year in crypto is a lot.
Imo this current surge has nothing to do with a potential Coinbase listing or with ETC's quality but only with the fact of the upcoming airdrop imo.
They only way I see Coinbase listing ETC is if it can keep up this volume it has at the moment. If not I assume they would prefer Ripple or something because it's just more profitable.

A deleted tweet from last month which could explain the current pump?

I think The current rise in ethereum classic is not related to coinbase listing rumours or tweet. ETC has a list of updates coming in future one of them is the hard fork (Callisto). so many will buy into it now to get the benefit of the fork. which is leading to the price rise of ETC.

I think Ethereum classic is the next candidate to be listed in coinbase, because when looking at coins coinbase listed, you can easily understand etc can be listed there also.

I think the price action is because of the upcoming airdrop and nothing else, this is a common phenomenon, Ardor and Ignis airdrops are two recent examples, people just need to be very careful of these price manipulations because most people will be trapped in FOMO and most of the time the price is likely going to deep significantly after the airdrop

A deleted tweet from last month which could explain the current pump?

There is no valid reason Coinbase to add ETC. There were the same speculations for Ripple and few more in past months.
On 5th Marc there will be airdrop/fork of ETC called Callisto. This is the reason for recent peak.

If it is true, we could see a very powerful pump some time later. ETC is heavily undervalued now. HardFork+CLO Airdrop are coming soon...

Dont be greedy because of airdrop. Airdrop can make the price but it will go down rapidly after the airdrop.
The price will not be consistent because the rise of the price is just temporary.

There are many rumors in the market but i think that these are all based on manipulation and speculation, i do hope ETC will grow in value but it should be done on solid basis.
