I am lucky enough to not be able to buy etherum.
Now I feel sorry for those who brought it at manipulated prices an now are watching the prices going to ground.

I was lucky enough to buy Ethercoins when their price was at $0.66 before Ethereum announced it's frontier release. Now I can exchange those Ethercoins for Ethers and still earn some profit.  Cheesy
Yes you are lucky and all those people who buy in early in an altcoin and cash out at the time of pump and dump are also lucky.
But who come late in in becomes the bagholder cuz every pumper is gone by making decent profit.

I don't see why it's so hard for everyone to understand that all you need is a coin with real world use, go to the store > buy stuff. That's it.

Why over complicate things? This is why BTC is so successful, the idea is simple enough to catch on and it is catching on.

This will become very cheap so if you are looking to buy some on the off chance it might make it big, the time is definitely not now as there is a lot of dumping to do.

Lol clueless.

I picked up a couple @.027, holding for the moment. I watched BTCD do this. Each have Competent developers, but there is much more suggestion with ether. I was intrigued with the project from its advent. I'm going to buy more before it breaks through .004, the volume is crazy.

No wallet though? How do you safely store it?

ether is overpriced does not deserve a $50m cap, i would laugh if the whole project fails and devs end up rich which has happened quite a lot in the altcoin space already.

There be a lot of crying bagholders around, other than hype what has it going for it
  • No hard cap unlimited supply
  • Open source software so plenty of better copys
  • Upcoming Rollback
  • No wallet
  • A dev running around in his goofy underwear
  • ......

Currently Kraken   ETH/BTC   $0.699954
I assume one of the devs dumped a massive amount he had as a part of his premine and even sold the BTC and cashed out to fiat, just an idea of we saw a small btc dip.
Get real bro they can't afford to rollback shit

Nothing more than common sense..  Hugely inflated price due to it being traded only on kraken

Yeah...and Kraken's initial umpity-thousand-confirmation policy - although self-protective - assured a hothouse market with untethered buys but restricted sells. The setup seriously restricted the supply while not limiting the demand. That's why the price of ethers was artificially high from the start.

Not to mention those who were/are not tech savvy enough to get access to their coins. The more I hear about Ethereum the more it stinks.

The market cap was around 170, now 88 ?

Price halved in a single day?

Is this the start of unsurprising inevitable dump?

etherum is going to have the same problem that NXT is having, nice features but no application. Your average non computer person does not care about smart contracts and all these fancy features that these so called "nextgen" coins have they only care if it can transfer value from one place to another and is simple enough for them to use

Nxt has superb wallet, real-world use cases and so on. Ethereum has some tools for playing with something promised to be game-changer. Feel the difference Smiley

It's really normal. Just some body pump it and then dump it.

Fair comment. Ethereum now needs some useful apps. One of the purposes of the Frontier launch was to get an Ethereum platform out there that app developers could start using. I think it'll happen more quickly than many expect.

On the other hand, if popular adoption was all it took to make a coin a success, there'd be a lot of rich DOGE bag holders around. And there aren't.
