What do you expect ? Javascript inventor, mozilla / firefox founder and his team with ~ hundreds of years of experience in development combined is on that team.

It's not a team full of second grade devs that quit when they are over their head, and then they are bitter while looking back and throw fud like charly hoskinson@etc Cheesy

I think this shows the stability of Ethereum, it's like a stacked deck of cards waiting to be blown over.
This is a kind of rumours that will lunch Ethereum to another upward movement. Ethereum is not hack, we only need to keep faith with it in other for us to see it were bitcoin is today.

The "rumor" was likely a result of this tweet (plenty of tweets with plenty more information since then):

R̶o̶m̶a̶n̶o̶UASFmano @RNR_0  2h

hahaha I don't know how but I generated a Ethereum privkey with NodeJS & I accidentally cracked someone else Privkey.

1.2 $ETH & DAO

Still hasn't been confirmed ands far as I can see, could just be either luck or a completely made up claim.

I noticed my transactions hitting the block chain slower than normal today.  However they did eventually show up, took about 5 minutes.  I wonder what is going on.

it's because their ICOs are so on fire that it clogs their blockchain. I read that someone paid a $2200 fee to get in first on that BATS one.

and the 'hack' is down to shitty entropy in an online wallet. blockchain.info is just as guilty of that.

And a way better!
$6,099.26 Fee!

In that 30seconds ethereum probably processed more transactions than bitcoin in a day.

BAT ico. Thousands of transactions in a matter of seconds.

But surely that is the point, ETH should be able to handle a very large number of transactions.
I thought that the whole stock exchange could be run on Ethereum?  Are you saying that BAT traded more that HFT on the DOW?

I think they might have to make some tweaks before it really takes off!

hope this stays as a rumour and does not turn not to be true because this will leave a dent not only eth but other cryptocurrencies. OP just how do you know that people are generating duplicate private keys ? Tried to find this on google got no hit related to this???  Hope these all not strategies to use fake news to make people panic and sale their stacks for less

Just noticed ETH was down, this could put a spanner in the works just as it was on fire.  Will be interesting to find out what's happening.

Coinbase is also saying:

Ethereum Sends Delayed
We're currently working through a backlog of Ethereum withdrawals. Recent or new outbound transactions may remain pending longer than expected.

Seems entire network is frozen, no transactions are going through.

I'm hearing rumors of people generating the same keys as other wallets and being able to access their coins.

Any news?

Wow, it's a rumor again. you don't say anything about this rumor. Do you want to get some ETH coins .now it's quite cheap to buy now.
It's not easy to use this trick for make eth down . it seems impossible, Guy.

I actually have quite a bit locked up in ETH that has not hit my wallet in 4 hours. Guy. Now all these things are happening, including the coins being paused on bittrex. Guy.
