I think that this update will benefit the Ethereum network, but this will make the mining even less profitable. I think Vitalik wants to kill the mining before Ethereum switches to PoS.

I'm not so sure whether or not the right hard fork can occur or not.
but as a trading I will not miss the opportunity to have a lot of ETH before the hardfork date happens.

Wow! Below link is some  detail about the upcoming ethereum hardfork!
https://cryptopotato.com/hot-january-for-ethereum-the-three-hard-forks-you-should-know-about/

Let's pray that this Constantinople Ethereum hard fork will not affect the market negatively the way Bitcoin cash hard forks crashed the market the last time? I am not particularly excited about the hard forking.
I heard some people said if it will crash market too, hope that thing not really happen. But if hardfork sometime price get pumped because people will think they get free coins and hold many of primary coins.

NOWA is clearly a scam coin with fake team, so I don't think we need further explanation. But ETHCV on the other hand, I might have the same opinion with you that ETHCV is not as good as Constantinople since it has no track record at all, but I think it will still give small impact to Ethereum price, and maybe still worth investing. And it is legit, however the wether it is a shitcoin or not, it is debatable. And yeah I agree that Constantinople is the most promising.
What @kenzawak says is true. ETCV is the only shitcoin (Oops. It looks like only an ERC20 token).
And I don't think ETCV has impacted the ETH prices. Why? Just go to ETCV Github page. You will have the same thoughts as me.

As far as I know, in 2019 ETH will be updated, not hardfork, so if it's true there will be a hardfork, we have to get ready.

The ethereum hard fork will definitely improve the ethereum blockchain by making the blockchain faster and efficient. This will make the price of ethereum surge really high.

I think that Ethereum will grow very much this year and it will be able to surpass its previous record both in terms of capitalization and price.

I don't think ETH can easily surpass their ATH back then at $1400 while now it's still struggling around $155.

Ethereum has been behind the rising of demand for crypto curency in 2017 and I have a feeling that it will do the same thing this year with these three hard fork of January. Grin

Constantinople fork is of course a significant step forward to PoS, but still it's just a preparation. There is huge amount of work ahead to achieve their plans. Hopefully they will be on time and nobody will take the place of the most advanced and usable smart contract platform.

My views about ETH it had 2nd position after bitcoin last year.due to its popularity many ico's can be copied of eth.so we should be carefully invest in eth.no doubt it has a strongest position in the market.

The hard fork will certainly happen, there is no doubt about that, and it will surely have some effect on ethereum price, whether a coin is shit or scam,I guess waiting to see will be a better answer to that.
It is important that the hard fork will be successful because few month ago there was already an attempt to implement this update and it was not successful

Because of that hard fork, ETH will recover and could have a great journey this year.
I'm longing to see another big run, and this time I hope ETH will dictate the tempo and the rest of altcoins will follow.
Any drop of bitcoin dominance is associated with the increase of altcoins, and ETH just got its place back, so it's a start of a positive sign.

Why don't you try to explain your points, instead of just calling them scam and shitcoin?
These sorts of comments do not add anything to the discussion.
Aren't the links enough ? Did you read them ? What is there to add ?
One (ETCV) is using the fork to promote its coin. How many more "ethereum this" "ethereum that" do we need ? Same goes for Bitcoin and those tens of coins forked from the original one. Just read the posts from the guy promoting it in the ANN thread, he has no idea what he's talking about.
The other (Nowa) is a scam project with fake team members.

The hardfork is definitely going to happen
You can look up your emails as regards notifications from your exchange about the hardfork process

Be calm and you can also keep your etherum in your erc20 wallet

Don’t be fudded and let’s expect the best

I'm not sure the news that there will be a harfork for ETH is true or false, but what I know is that ETH is starting to rise in price, is this the beginning of Hardfork? or just an ordinary pump?
