I definitely see ethereum reaching and surpassing the $1000 price point during the upcoming year!! I have no plans of selling any of the ethereum I have until it surpasses that point.

Ethereum is one of the most popular alternative coins and its value is getting higher too. And I guess it will be more popular and the value will get higher; I think it will be a surprising one. Like others said, it is like or next to Bitcoin in the future. 
In 2018 it will be like at the top of the mount Everest. I think it will break all the records in 2018 and will be at the peak at the same position out of all crypto currencies. If you see its demand graph then you will get to known that why it is very expensive. I think that in coming year it will be the good competitor to the Bitcoins and will also generate the big profits out of it soon.
Ethereum is doing a smooth and steady in rising. In becoming a good altcoin, it is a good to invest in it because ethreum will grow in the tear of 2018. It is doing just fine here in 2017 and let us expect more to the ethereum in 2018. Let us predict that ethereum will rise and rise in the year of 2018 because it has more potential that other altcoins. Then it will be close in bitcoin if it is possible.
At the moment the network don't seems working properly.
I can not buy neither SELL some of my coins, i could not even make a transfer with MyEtherWallet and EtherDelta.
it say some things like you need more gas to transfer faster or even make it available, if they don't resolve the issue i guess it would be a big impact to decreased the potential growth of price and investor because of the Hang and Lag on the ETH Blockchain , yes i know many use it this month of December , but what do you expect more when crowd explode on the ETH Platform if they don't have plan to resolve the issue, i guess ETH will be worthless for me because they cannot able to handle more crowd on the next days ahead.
and it will be a factor to be considered on ETH their transaction time is lame when it comes to number of crowds using it already hope they resolve the issue so it will be more happier to

I think in the year 2018 the ethereum will reach the higher value as its never been before maybe up to 500$ i have no doubt with ethereum.
At that time ethereum going to the moon but etherdelta not working fast. I know it is temporary problem. In few days it will solved. My opinion about ethereum that it crossed over 1000$ in 2018 first month.
The world M2 money supply is about 90T. If we assume crypto can get a mere 5% of that, or 4.5T, and ETH and BTC dominate then each could have about a 2T market capitalization which, for ether, would be about $21,000 per coin. Happy days ahead, I surmise but it will be a bumpy road. BUY AND HOLD!

But recently I saw that the price of ethereum is 0.044 BTC and a month ago the price of ethereum was 0.049 BTC. I think it is bitcoin which is increasing in value that is why ethereum price is increasing but for the traders it is a better chance to trade with as when the price of bitcoin doubled then the price of ethereum in BTC reached to lower and then it started to increase in value. Ether should have been at 1000$ very soon. may be even before the 31st of dec it can cross 1000$, if not the next year is a 200% certainty for a price rise.
It really is time that Ethereum started to catch up with Bitcoin and I think in 2018 it will pass the $1,000 mark for the first time. It was just a matter of time before the growth spurt kicked in.
There is an opinion that the cryptocurrency follow the four-year period growth. I think that in nexct year BTC will fall down. Against this background, the ETH will grow rapidly.
For me, As bitcoin goes up it will also help ethereum in 2018 to go up. Since ethereum is now 740.92 dollars, I think it will hit 1000 dollars by the next 3rd to 4th quarter of 2018. So it's the right time to buy ethereum since it has small value now compared to bitcoin.

many predictions have shown that we still not reach to the highest potential of ethereum so the price of eth is not the highest now, therefore surely in 2018 it will rise higher than now very much, so we should buy ethereum now.
i think ETH will growth up at next year. ethereum is the second best crytocurrency next to bitcoin, eth will go back like before at 2018, then the price can reach 1.600$ in 2018 for sure.
