ETH is not minable with asics, so it's immune to the chinese centralization.
Technically it was never hacked, but poorly dapps deployed by questionable devs can be exploited.
Just like your favorite porn site can be exploited by some hacker, not internet's fault.  Smiley

This could trigger a new leg on the BTC and ETH rally

The fed raised rates. Some investors could move from stocks to precious metals, cash and cryptocurrencies

Ethreum is a great cryptocurrency. If you have money, please buy more ethereum. It seems that Ethereum now is the big threat to bitcoin and if you want to be rich, buy bitcoin and ethereum

some people are telling about a big dump incoming at any time

better don't buy more ethereum than you could afford to lose, including psychologically

That is just a rumor. Cryptos are not pink sheet penny stocks...don't get confused...cryptos are not stocks and are not companies in bankruptcy. This rally is not a pump and dump scheme. This technology is here to stay. Regulations? Yes there will come some regulations, but regulations will enforce and boost people confidence in this technology

My prediction is $600 by the end of 2017, but hard to tell what it will be 5 years later.

Now this is a comment to my liking. Realistic speculation based on the current situation in cryptoland (yes the country where the dead walk among us, and I don't mean the slow moaning kind, but the zombie speed runners with fangs for teeth!). And there are a lot of balloons too, isn't this a wonderful sight, balloons and zombies!

Zombies will decompose though and balloons will deflate. But at least for now we all get to feel like Peter Pan and lick that sweet fairy dust from our hands.

5 years from now, there is no way of saying. Ether could be worth 5 dollars, just as much as it could be worth 5000

In 2022, take half of the price of Bitcoin. I think since Bitcoin price will be about 50 000$, one ETH will be worth 25 000$.
If that's true then everyone who stores ETH and BTC will become a billionaire. And maybe they will become gods.
Wow, is it really going to be eth $ 25,000 and btc $ 50,000, if it is true then I will buy ETH from now on and by 2020 I will become a billionaire Grin Grin

It'll be at least $500 this year. Not sure about its limit in the next few years but definitely looks good. Lots of platforms using eth.

I think you mean year 3022,  Grin

There is no wrong on being optimistic about the price but always have a limitation on speculating and be realistic so that you will not be soaked in the dream.
Maybe 10000$ for Bitcoin maybe hard to reach in 2022 considering the other new big altcoin currency are coming and listing on the market.

Well i have invested in ETH and I feel it will go up Smiley
Me too. I'm buying more ETHs, I think ETH has enough solid fundamentals backing it up that it wouldn't dip too much.

I think the eth price will keep increasing. And by the year 2022 its value can reach 0.5 I hope that way
You mean 0.5 BTC. That will make ETH market Cap > BTC market cap. Unlikely, but, anything is possible!

ETH and BTC almost have the same market cap, and ETH is closing in on BTC. I think both coins are promising, so I have no interest in distorting this situation. ETH can potentially overtake BTC in market cap any day now.
We have a couple of months before ETH does actually overtake BTC in terms of market cap and these are two cryptos worth investing in but at the moment ethereum seems to have more attention than bitcoin for now..only because crypto users want a less inconvenient coin to use for the payment needs.

Ethereum will be obsolete in 5 years time.

The problem with technology stocks (i.e. ones who's value derives from their 'advanced technology') is that they're always at a disadvantage from being first. Monetary stocks however (i.e. ones who's value derives from pure store of value) are at an advantage of being first. They do not rely on advanced tech, in fact almost the opposite. They rely on being stable.

Now comes the next tsunami of smart contract blockchains: Tezos, EOS, Rootstock, Ark and the rest.

Bitcoin resisted the onslaught of competition. A flotilla of altcoins came along in their hundreds and not one of them made even a dent in its marketcap despite being more advanced technologically. That's because it is a monetary asset.

Ethereum is a technology asset. It only has value because of its use as a technological platform. It is unlikely to exhibit the same resistance to competition since there is no advantage to hosting an equity offering on Ethereum over one of the newer chains if they happen to deliver the functionality that you need. (Hashpower possibly but that just moves with value).

In the picture below, Bitcoin, LTC, Dash, XMR, PPC etc are in the top category. Ether and its sibling smart contract tokens are in the bottom category. So in 5 years time there will have been a lot of jumping from bottom to top.

Good post. Tell me please - what serious Ethereum competitors do you see in the market right now?
