I agree with that opinion, but the number of fake ico that uses ethereum platform makes eth prices decrease, especially with a huge number of eth supplies
Yes I agree with this almost all ico accept eth on ico time and maximum invertor use eth on ico participate time.

In a short span of time like the Ethereum no other cryptocurrency has made benefit to the investors. Ethereum has just evolved in last three years and at the time of ICO it's price was mere few cent. But, within a 2 years of time it has gone more than $3000. So, looking at this price appreciation we can say that Ethereum is the King of all ICOs.

market penetration
Eth is the easiest to come by and has the largest amount of trading pairs (besides btc).
Even second place Neo doesn't even come remotely close to it.
XLM may be valuated higher, but nobody does anything with it.
They just trade or hodl it, no function really as of now.
