in my opinion, this is not slow, indeed they feel slow because thinking is only profit. Ethereum grows well now and we just have to be patient so that they get better before they rise high. Bitcoin is natural because they are already good

There was a lot of factor to be consider to initiate a ethereum price spike, Comparing 2017 ethereum price growth it was fueled buy those successfully conducted ICO's that hoarding large amount of ethereum and locked it for a certain period, comparing today that usually made by dumping spree. and only portion of ICO was succeeding.

The price up if only in dollar then that's such a waste, you see in CMC it's up but rate to bitcoin is going down so hard if you think about the most beneficial steps you need to take, Might aswell convert all ETH to bitcoin because that's the best thing right now.
