Seems you still have the wrong IP somewhere in the configuration... 127.0.0.1 is wrong, can you post your config?

    "name": "Suprnova.cc",
    "url": "http://eth-mine.suprnova.cc:3030/snikerhd.1/50",
    "timeout": "10s"
  },

Are you using Sammy's proxy? It looks like you passed the wrong IP to the proxy. It is not 127.0.0.2

I fancy giving ETH mining a go, for the first time.

What hash rate should I be expecting with amd r9 290 tri-x cards, on Windows?

Cheers

edit

better ask, is it profitable to mine ETH?

It depends how much you pay for power, but for me ETH is the only profitable coin right now Smiley

I make about 30 MH/s per R9280x (underclocked) - i don't have an 290x yet but you'll probably make 50-60 MH/s per card I guess

Well, I don't live in China so electricity is not free   Angry

Out of interest, what temps does the R9280x generate? That's where the electricity money goes.

I'll try to connect to the pool later this week.

edit

around 75c?
depends on the scenario, roomtemp and case....i have a rig in my garage and the hottest is my 290 (72c) & i have a 280x in the house in a closed case (80c)

Thanks!

~70c is not bad. Better than mining LTC a few years ago, which kept cooking my miners, so I was grateful to have DRK x11 to switch to. 80c would be an upper limit for me. Not interested at that point. I think I'll set temp cutoff around 75c. Above that and I'd rather just buy ETH direct (which I have no plans on doing).

Can you pls share your config? I'm getting just 23MH Sad

Hey z0n0, i'm using stock config/settings, but you're right, its between 25-28 MH/s for me too.

its working now Cheesy more one thing how i can improve my mining what do you recomend to mine eth what machine can you help me with that plz

You should probably read this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/r9-nano-mining-results-power-draw-1298549 , R9 Nano's are IMHO best cards and Eliovp did a great job over there testing.

ocminer can you help me im using ethminer -F http://eth-mine.suprnova.cc:3000/snikerhd.sniker/50 -C
pause
and nothing appear one dashboard i dont know why can you help me https://i.imgur.com/tgWM4DG.png

Hey mate !

Everything looks good, but CPU mining for ETH is more or less over - everyone is mining with GPU's already and CPU Hashrate is so low, you'll hardly even submit a share and get paid.

So either turn to GPU mining with -G instead of -C or mine a CPU-only coin (Argon / OPES) instead of ETH.

i ty for the anwser im using gpu https://i.imgur.com/0bSiUTc.png and still nothing Sad  nvidia 760

Ok, thanks. A quick observation, if I may; the luck column in the dashboard should be left renamed to difficulty, no?  A 30 second block shows as something like 4% luck.

If we find a block after 30 seconds we're pretty lucky, so 4% seems ok for me, I cannot find a wrong column after first sight.

I've had some requests for adding more proxies to the pool, i'll do that, but all those "stratum"-proxy are no real "stratum" proxys since ethminer doesn't support stratum. Its just snakeoil and IMHO sammy's proxy looks/works best.

4% would be OK if the colum was called difficulty. IE it was only 4% of expected difficulty, we were really lucky.

To me:

25% luck = I only found 1 block when statistically I should have found 4
50% luck = I only found 1 block when statistically I should have found 2
100% luck = I found 1 block and statistically I should have found 1
200% luck = I found 2 blocks when statistically I should have only found 1
