ETH increased strongly when ETH 2.0 was launched and the price increased to $3.9k although it hasn't beat their record high of 4 months ago. even though the market is red I still believe ETH will go to 5k.
Taking into account the all time high of ethereum then 5k is going to eventually happen, however the great mystery is when this will happen, I personally think there is enough left on this bull market to reach that price at the end of this year, and in fact I think it can be easily surpassed, but if for some reason it does not happen then we are going to need to wait for years for this to happen, it would not be easy as most likely the price will go down under that scenario but it must be done by those that actually believe in the future of this coin.

No matter how long it takes, ETH has that potentials, it can be one day we got to reach that value. But I think the current upgrade wasn't enough to push the market up, it needs more project support and the change of fees from lower it down as this was the big problem that we have face today. Imagine paying $15-$20 in a single transaction? No, not all have the guts to pay for that amount especially when you are just about to move $100. If this could be addressed with the developer, it will certainly bring back the higher demand where we have seen before and probably more users to come.

We have watched ETH from $5 to $4k so this shows it's not a stable currency which we should have back of our minds for increase or decrease currently I m not in love with the network the higher the price the higher the gas fee which is very annoying.
Does that mean you are not at all interested in ETH? because of some of the reasons you have mentioned, now try to look at BTC, is BTC stable and the cost of gas is low? because if that's the reason, then you can only like cheap coins like Tron, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and others, because the network whose main coin price is already expensive, the transaction fees will also always be expensive if you measure it in dollars. I believe Ethereum will jump into a long accumulation. It will hypernate for a while before it returns to a bull run. I think the hypernation and accumulation will take months. Perhaps it will complete in early of 2022.hoping for the best to ethereum so the price will hit $5,000 or even more.
Compares 2017 and 2021 markets (from ecoinometrics). The chart gives you some points of price for tops and bottoms if 2021 market repeats what happened in 2017 market.
I think it is very probably to happen because in 2017, Bitcoin topped in late of that year and altcoins top in January of 2018.

Maybe This Christmas?
Yesterday we were very close to $5k but now there is a price drop in bitcoin so indirectly ethereum is also experiencing it, yes we can see ethereum $5k but no one knows when it will happen
But it should depend on the mood of the market, if it's good and bullish then it's possible for ETH to reach the price of 5000$ within short time but if the market mood is not very good it will take more than that.
The burning really help ETH in stabilising its price I think so its not getting dumped again but we don't know if the burning can be good for long term since the price can increase just because the rumour of eth burning that can decrease its total supply is popular and it make many traders think its gonna rise in price so they pump the market because it can be like BNB where burning didn't create pump in long term where even after burning the price of the coin still stay the same maybe because it was not special anymore.
I would say that it is doing fine right now, flirting with the ATH price and I believe that it will certainly happen in the near future as well. Look at how great it is looking, 5k is not that far off from 4k+ and we are right there. I am expecting the real increase with the introduction of 2.0, when eth hits the PoS and 2.0 then we are going to see a lot of miners move away from it, and the cost of them selling is huuuuge right now, they need to pay for their costs but that destroys ETH as well. With the new system we are going to seriously see some changes, it will be better than we could ever imagine. I can't say that I am seeing too much hype about it which scares me but maybe that is because it is long way off and not anytime soon yet.
Ethereum is a tricky altcoin. Everyone awaits the price to go up, but not a single one want to pay high transaction fees. And without one, second is unachievable.
Personally, I dont expect Ethereum to hit $5k soon. It has already made a price jump, while everyone was slowly growing. I guess this is the time for Bitcoin to start growing soon. But I expect the price to update ATH at the end of the year.

I also believe the price will appear in the future but I can't imagine people still owning a very large amount of Ethereum today and still hoping the price will continue to grow into a huge profit. If your belief is very sure to see the price will come back good then it's time to buy in very large quantities. big risk will yield big profit so are you sure about everything you are going to do.

Not exactly, yes it is correct that they moved together today, however recently when bitcoin moved from 50k to 47k the price of ethereum didn't fall as much, which was the case before as well when it did once more meaning ethereum didn't follow the fall bitcoin had. However when bitcoin goes up, ethereum price is tied to bitcoin price and pegged to it which means that the price of ehtereum would go up as well. So yes they are both tied but also not tied, it depends on what they want to do, if they want to be tied then they can be tied and go up and down together which has happened before, and if they do not want to be tied then they could move indecently and that has happened before as well, both are valid.
