It is not a scam and this accusation is irrelevant, because it is neither an ICO nor a brand new coin. It is just a fork!

You mean to tell me that forks can't be scams? Especially ones with brand new websites, no track record and fake team members?
Sure! One could choose not to mine on their chain or trade the forked coin, ... (like me, for now)
One could disagree with such emotional reactions they are showing to what they are not happy with (like me)
But nobody is allowed to call them scammers, it is a very serious and unfair accusation. I'm specially agitated because of the fact that the accused people are poor and have not enough resources to run a fake campaign in favor of themselves and against their rivals.

To understand why I'm angry: I have been there!
When months ago,  Bitmain announced its ASIC Eth miner, E3 and Ethereum idol, Vitalik Buterin refused to take care of the promised ASIC resistance and called it a "distraction" I was like getting mad, started a topic in altcoins and screamed at him and threatened to fork , ... Later I decided to ignore the whole community instead and stick with bitcoin ecosystem because Ethereum code base was really fucked up and you needed like 10-20 professionals to keep it alive, a lot of mess had to be cleaned up.
And it was not end of the story you needed to deal with shills and mercenary writers who are hired by his foundation to make ethereum great! A simple math proved it to be a >250K$ project which I wasn't able to afford and forking ethereum had no ROI to discuss it with potential investors.

Now somebody has experienced the same feelings just like me  and he has chosen to act differently, he got money/investors? I don't know. But I don't like brutal accusations made against him here, I wish success for him and I'm sorry not having enough resources and can't afford costs and risks involved in joining him.

If you have any proofs that ICOEthics and tvplus006 have indeed hacked, lied and falsely accused Ethereum ProgPoW to be a scam project, please make a topic in Reputation. If I were you, I would be very careful when making such bold statements.
Seriously? Making real, bold accusations against poor people is just easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy because they don't have a load voice but suggesting hypothetical scenarios about implanting fake evidence or taking advantage of such evidence is kinda "dangerous" and I need to be "carefull"? Why? Because the  adversaries have backup?  Cheesy

I got one more reasonable scenario, hypothetical but still more reasonable:
You (or your fiends) hacked their site because they are poor and have hired a cheap site manager. You are the real scammer, probably a shill of Ethereum Foundation and a fan of Vitalik the superstar.

Please prove me wrong or I'd send you a negative feedback and will fight against you to ashes, tell us how did you make it?

You guys penetrated to their site manager laptop and uploaded the pictures. You were aware of the time zone and knew the poor operator is slept and as soon as he wakes up he will check and remove the pictures, so you had no choice other than what you did, posting this accusation allegation. Right

So, you searched through "google files" and found some pictures of  few criminals, then you hacked their site and uploaded the pictures there and before they have any chance to find out and restore the situation, you made this topic here and accused them of being a scam!
Makes sense! I take it as a confession, shame on you. Angry

their only fault was leaving some ports open on their site, letting junior hackers to upload some pictures over there and they have removed the pictures as soon as they've been informed.

People have been searching for fake team members for a while now.  Maybe you are just upset with yourself for not knowing that picture/photo recognition was possible on the internet.
Picture recognition doesn't justify all you've done, I don't buy your explanation. You've spotted all the uploaded pictures like in a glance!

Quote
Now, you must blame someone else, such as  "junior hackers" for hacking some scammer computer to upload pictures, just to make you feel better. Cheesy
Why should I blame anybody to feel better? The only thing I feel bad about is your reckless and irresponsible actions to make Ethereum establishment happy. It is really sick.

Quote
If the hacking case is true, investors should be even more skeptical about investing in this project, if your controls are so weak that allow a "junior hacker" to gain control/access to the website.
Now it is about your accused to be an amateure? I don't reject your claim, but amateurism is a consequence of low investment. So, don't worry about investors to be attracted to them, there has never been such a threat, you are wasting your time and energy and ours.

Quote
And as you said,  it is a discussion forum, and we don't need to discuss with you,  you are not a member of the team, right?
I don't have to be accused directly or as a member of an accused entity or to have any stakes in it to express my take on such claims. Stop terrorizing me and trying to shut me down.
I don't care whether you understand or not the meaning of this words:
"I'm not supporting/have no plan to support this project not because I think/believe/suspect it is/may be a scam but because it is immature and is a rush". Period.

We all are laughing at you and how desperate you are to find someone to blame.

Rule number 1: Scammers will always blame someone else for their mistakes.
My mistake? What mistake you mean? I'm refuting your scam acquisition against a third party, because I'm aware of your motivations and can't stand such actions in this forum. It is not a blog, it is a discussion forum and when you start a topic here members have rights to argue against you, on what basis you accuse me of doing anything wrong?

They are not an ICO, neither they launch a new coin, they don't collect any funds of any form of anybody, their only fault was leaving some ports open on their site, letting junior hackers to upload some pictures over there and they have removed the pictures as soon as they've been informed.

This is just suspiciously interesting that you and your friends have managed to track down all the pictures to their criminal records in few hours to run this ridiculous witch hunt.

Now you are accusing me of being a partner or something of the project because I don't buy your false claims and do what I have a right to do: express myself.

You better back-off herer,  your witch hunt is a failed project now.

~...Is he an scammer? Absolutely not!...
~...Now we have this pictures and a stupid web designer who has picked some random pics for test purposes...

~...and they were hacked and some pictures were uploaded, then within hours you come here with scam accusations...
~...
My question is very simple:
How in the hell did you manage to identify 3-4 nobody criminals in such a short window?
Are you a psychic?
Do you have access to FBI files? ...
~...We are not stupid, dude. You guys penetrated to their site manager laptop and uploaded the pictures...

This is definitely something to laugh about it. This is one of the most non-sense answer/defense that we ever read on this forum.

Now, the answers to your questions:

1 - We use a crystal ball
2 - Yes we are psychic
3 - Yes we all have access to Google files.
So, you searched through "google files" and found some pictures of  few criminals, then you hacked their site and uploaded the pictures there and before they have any chance to find out and restore the situation, you made this topic here and accused them of being a scam!

This accusation is false.

It is not a scam and this accusation is irrelevant, because it is neither an ICO nor a brand new coin. It is just a fork!

Did you see the site: https://ethereumprogpow.com

What did you think of the website? Do you think this site is a professional site that shows some kind of respect? why the hell did someone bother to create such a site? and why the hell does the person want to create another shitcoin?
People have not to be super-rich to try forking of a chain like Ethereum. Ethereum community is full of shits, They got a "supreme leader", a "Foundation", payed developers and a roadmap! To cryptocurrency movement they are like aliens, saying weird things about "weak subjectivity", "finality", they have even implanted a "difficulty bomb" in the protocol and are planning for an ice age, to force PoW out and play their Proof of Shit thing!

It is sad. A PoW coin, supported by thousands of gpu miners with tens of thousands rigs all over the globe, is treated like an experimental joke by its own developers. No sir, you don't need to establish another foundation to fork off from such idiots.

I think this guy and his team are just sick of the irresponsible devs and their chief Vitalik who considers ASIC resistance a "distraction" from his favorite game in his dad's backyard: Ethereum. They need to do better, to be prepared more and there is no rush, ... I agree, but it is not a scam, it is a scream!

OP, this site is brand new and under construction, the whole thing is, from where you get this "processed" information? Are you a FBI agent or something?  Roll Eyes

So often they say that the site is under construction, when they got caught on it.
I brought all the links next to the scans, confirming my words.
See here:

I will add two more here:
-snip-
Obviously, you are not a fan of Buterin, so you transferred all negative emotions to OP.
But I do not speak here about PoW. I am talking here about forgery. Now all the photos have been removed from the site.
I'm not saying there are no links, I'm asking how did you get these links? Are we clear? Their site is 100% brand new and everybody knows it and they are not rich like EF  obviously they couldn't afford hiring a super-expert and they were hacked and some pictures were uploaded, then within hours you come here with scam accusations about some porn trafficker whose picture is uploaded and another person with criminal profile, ...

My question is very simple:
How in the hell did you manage to identify 3-4 nobody criminals in such a short window?
Are you a psychic?
Do you have access to FBI files? ...
Or you are engaged somehow with people who implanted these pictures, after all they are the ones that already knew whose pictures they are implanting, didn't they?

We are not stupid, dude. You guys penetrated to their site manager laptop and uploaded the pictures. You were aware of the time zone and knew the poor operator is slept and as soon as he wakes up he will check and remove the pictures, so you had no choice other than what you did, posting this accusation allegation. Right?
No? So, what? Tell us for how long the pictures were uploaded and how long it took for you to identify the criminals? give us a timeline ... instead of copying stupid links about some criminals to fool people even more, simply answer the question.

Requiring crypto activists to hire a "team" like a corporate or something to fork a coin is just void and irrelevant. According to this kind of discourse Microsoft is the most legitimate entity in the world to do forks.  Grin

I feel like speaking with a bunch of retards here, put your shits together and do some investigation on what crypto is and what it is not. Ethereum Foundation is what you want? Stick with them, you deserve nothing much better than a "legitimate scam" that started by like 70% premined eth which a big bite of it went directly to the pockets of a handful of people. Such a stupid people you are, what do I have ever to say to you?

This guy is not rich enough to hire an army of prominent crypto figures or to pay them $$ bribes for joining, it does not make a scammer out of him.

This accusation is false.

It is not a scam and this accusation is irrelevant, because it is neither an ICO nor a brand new coin. It is just a fork!

I don't support this fork because it's immature and rather a political gesture against Ethereum Foundation and how they threat their own miners. To have a real and functioning ecosystem, the gap between devs and miners should be filled somehow and it is not what this fork is about. They are just reacting emotionally to the way Ethereum Foundation treats them.

Many people in Ethereum community are pushing for a hard fork to change PoW algorithm meanwhile the guy behind this "Ethereum ProgPow" thing goes too far and says: "Who cares about EF and Vitalik or devs? let's fork!". I appreciate the spirit and I think given Ethereum community won't support an ASIC resistant fork, this option should be considered seriously.

But there is no rush! For some reasons @naikmyeong thinks otherwise and is in a rush:

Is he angry with Ethereum devs who do not behave properly and say irrational things about a stupid roadmap over and over and feel not responsible about the real, on the ground problem of Ethhash being under attack by ASICs for like a year? Probably!

Is he looking for some fame and reputation to feel more important? I don't know.

Does he think that forking even without consensus and mining such a coin is probably is probably more profitable than current ridiculous situation with Eth gpu mining? Probably! Is he right? I can't speculate, but gpu mining is a nightmare nowadays and the very people who escalated it (Vitalik and his gang) now feel no responsibility and do nothing regarding  their promise about ASIC resistance.

Is he angry with Constantinople fork and block reward decrease? Probably! Vitalik group are decreasing the block reward to help the price by decreasing the supply without paying attention to thousands of people who have invested on mining this shitcoin.

Is he an scammer? Absolutely not! There is nothing at stake to be scammed.

Now we have this pictures and a stupid web designer who has picked some random pics for test purposes or anything, so what? It just proves my point:  this fork is immature and just an emotional reaction to Ethereum Foundation and Vitalik Buterin who fail to support mining community.

EDIT: I just sent user @naikmyeong  a trust signal (first in my career) and meritted his humble reply. I strongly recommend users who have given negative feedbacks retreat their action. It is not how we should behave with each other.
Stop biting people!
