You mean to tell me that forks can't be scams? Especially ones with brand new websites, no track record and fake team members?
One could disagree with such emotional reactions they are showing to what they are not happy with (like me)
But nobody is allowed to call them scammers, it is a very serious and unfair accusation. I'm specially agitated because of the fact that the accused people are poor and have not enough resources to run a fake campaign in favor of themselves and against their rivals.
To understand why I'm angry: I have been there!
When months ago, Bitmain announced its ASIC Eth miner, E3 and Ethereum idol, Vitalik Buterin refused to take care of the promised ASIC resistance and called it a "distraction" I was like getting mad, started a topic in altcoins and screamed at him and threatened to fork , ... Later I decided to ignore the whole community instead and stick with bitcoin ecosystem because Ethereum code base was really fucked up and you needed like 10-20 professionals to keep it alive, a lot of mess had to be cleaned up.
And it was not end of the story you needed to deal with shills and mercenary writers who are hired by his foundation to make ethereum great! A simple math proved it to be a >250K$ project which I wasn't able to afford and forking ethereum had no ROI to discuss it with potential investors.
Now somebody has experienced the same feelings just like me and he has chosen to act differently, he got money/investors? I don't know. But I don't like brutal accusations made against him here, I wish success for him and I'm sorry not having enough resources and can't afford costs and risks involved in joining him.
