Excluding all factors like price manipulation by those investors who bought large amounts of Bitcoins back when it was priced at <10$. logically, the more Bitcoins are mined, the less the supply and the more the demand; leading to a larger price. The larger the price, the less and less amount of people will be able to buy a Bitcoin. This leads to people going to the second most popular cryptocurrency out there that is cheaper - Ethereum. I think the same thing will begin to happen to Ethereum like what we are seeing today with Bitcoin. If this is so, then Ethereum can skyrocket in value....?

Once the same thing begins to happen to Ethereum like to Bitcoin, LiteCoin will take over, and the cycle continues with the next currency on the list.

This is my opinion, and I might be wrong because there is no such thing as "excluding all factors" in the real world, but what does the community think? How probable is it that Ethereum will be priced at $6000?  Huh

It will need a lot of time before Ethereum will be worth $6000. A good and possible taget for next year is $500-$600. Ethereum is a strong long term hodl!

It is a low risk investment but low risk investment have also small returns. If you want big returns you have to invest to an ICO

It could reach that amount but not this time yet, Ethereum is having a hard time reaching a new ath and even haven't even reach a new ath yet up until now. But it is quite possible because Ethereum is progressing but slowly and also becoming more popular same as Bitcoin.

There are a lot of new competition for ETH. Hopefully, devs can successfully implement the development plans next year (POS.. etc)
Will be holding on my ETH for now and bulk up on my holdings on it.

A new long-term plan for the future :

1. "sharding."
Vitalik says that Ethereum would break into different shards and each shard would hold a different "universe" of Ethereum.

2. "stateless clients"

which will help clients sync with the network quicker.

3. EVM

planned upgrades to the ethereum virtual machine (EVM), the technology that today compiles smart contract code

So lot is happening and many ideas are under pipeline  Ethereum has a very bright future ahead.

Totally agree. Fill your bags, sit on them a warm them until eth goes over 500$ in Q1 2018

DAVID CHAUM's xx coin SALE IS NOW LIVE!
It is still too early for ethereum's life cycle. It may or may not share same destiny with bitcoin. But I am sure ethereum chain isn't very good after all these attacks and exploits. I prefer bitcoin's safety heaven.

If Ethereum didn't fork after DAO incident I would trust Ethereum more.
Now we always have some question marks in our minds. Bitcoin always remain safe for storage of value.

Ethereum and Waves. Best altcoins for long term investment. Just buy and hold a few years.
They will blow up like fat guy in sausage eating competition. Grin

That's right, but the disadvantage of this method is that you will not get enough profit compared to another altcoyin

Well, we can assume that there is a probability it will hit the $6k mark. Why? Because of the incredible versatile functionality of its current technology that is almost foundational in nature. Ideally speaking, if we base on BTC's current half market cap, ETH offers more and it will either double or triple the attraction to the market like what happened with BTC. Also, ETH is still nowhere near as mature or well developed in terms of its overall development, despite the efforts of its dev team and other developers that tries to work it out with other activities or businesses, ETH still is untested if you would take into account of all the things which most of crypto adopters intends to use it for. This only reflects that ETH price is way, way too far from BTC and its almost impossible to equal the feat. Considering all that I mentioned, ETH is still a good coin for long-term investment (holding), specially if its current state continues for years to come.

Ethereum platform has much potential like than other. Don't expect the price to rocket any time soon at least for now. Ethereum will never be like BTC. But, ETH increased his value much more than BTC last 1 year. Keep holding it guys and keep buying while it's cheap.
It has a good potential but yeah holding it now won't get you much profit because there is nothing new about the coin it's just the ico but it has no benefit to eth for now , they said they will be coming with new features in q1 2018 until then hold it you can get good amount of profits.

I think $500 Ether price is doable, the issue I have with ETHEREUM now is the number of other competing platform coming into the space, though they have this huge advantages over them due to funding but 2018 we might have a David that will dethrone the Golaith.
It surely has competition but those competitions are not upto the mark and not as easy as eth. Eth is the only coin which cam be stored easily and offline without any amount of cost.

Ethereum really does have great potential. It has a huge advantage over bitcoin with smart contracts and already has the support of numerous groups. The Ethereum enterprise alliance surely has a lot in store for investors.

Although it may currently seem everyone is jumping ship for bitcoin's price surge, i do believe we will see Ethereum shine very soon.

After Bitcoin, yes it's the best long term crypto currency. Try to accumulate as much as possible. Ethereum will rise again after Bitcoin rally come to an end. $300 will be very cheap in the future. You better buy now.

Well, up to 6k you bent, but up to 2k if you reach out and do not crush, then this is reality. At least I'm still waiting for the decay of bitcoin, and then we'll see how it goes.

Presale is live!
I am also big fan of ethereum but i don’t think it will see this numbers. It’s the strongest alt coin and it has so many uses that will help it keep gaining value. If I was looking for some dramatic improvement i would get waves instead.

Good analisys

Ethereum  now  is  like  when  Bitcoin  was  at  300$

But there  are  some competitors and  scaling  problems  to solve (but  also  with bitcoins)
