I think ETH will go to $500 to $1000 by the end of 2017.
Though we have to understand that Bitcoin is Bitcoin and Ethereum is Ethereum and comparing the two is a great injustice to them. They have different use and different goals.
Do you think Ethereum can at least reached the $500 level before the 2017 ends?
The biggest problem with Ethereum is the big difference as you mentioned and the possibility to reach $500 is possible if the price of bitcoin rises to newer levels and breach new levels and in comparison the price of ETH and other alt coins will also rise,will it rise in proportion to bitcoin,i really doubt that. Do you think Ethereum can at least reached the $500 level before the 2017 ends?
Ethereum may go to the moon one day, but for now ETH against the USD is topping around the 260 level. Once the slow rise is over (and it may end very soon), look for downside action. Time for consolidation is due. First support at 223.

Ethereum is not going to see any unusual corrections or drops any time soon. The price is going up and this trend will continue.
There are so many new projects based on ethereum blockchain, so many news and hype around it, so many speculators and newbies pouring money in it these days, there is the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance and all the banks and businesses in it, there are Vitalik and his billionaire father and etc.
Doesn't matter if you like this technology or not, doesn't matter if you use it or not, the price will go in only one direction in the short-middle future (IMO).
Till then stick with the master plan.

Eth has been surging, the value of ether could surpass that of bitcoin by the end of 2018.There are no obvious reasons for the continuing rally, instead, the price action has seemingly been driven by renewed interest from speculative buyers this past weeks.
Unless people keep pooring fiat into GPU mining contracts ETH is due for a massive correction (3-5x drop).

an a lot of people are buying ethereum to partecipate to icoes...
this is fuel for ETH...

Congratulations to eth holders. I don't get it myself, yes smart contracts are kind of cool, but lets forget what happened with the Dao shall we? Yay smart contracts. Yay censorship proof contracts. Oh wait, no not. Never mind. Good luck.

Ethereum has grown so much for this year alone and even surpassed that of the growth of Bitcoin percentage-wise. There are so many good news happening right now for Ethereum...plus it got very active developers and people pushing for its real-world use...I am not wondering why Ethereum has received increased media coverage calling it as "the next Bitcoin" and the next cryptocurrency sensation.

The $500 price is not a problem. But the price relative to bitcoin might not be as high as 0.2 bitcoin.

i did regret that i am not store any ether when the price still cheaper and i have more time to accumolate in the past year. i grab a few now and watching the price mooning hope its not late for me.
I ever have almost 4 ethereum some months ago when the price around 0.026 - 0.027 btc. I bought it for trading but unfortunately the price suddenly drop while i busy and can't see on graph. The price go down so deep even many people said that eth will become dust. Many people panic sell at that moment as the result the price more go down. I try to still believe with eth but i waited for several weeks the price still go down. I wondered now eth has very high price
