Check gas and check your network . Sometimes transactions can lag more. But its temporary problem.Dont worry about it.

Imo nothing to do with GAS, as mentioned before I use MEW default one.
And yesterday transaction durations were absolutely random: some transactions took few minutes and other more than an hour...

During last few days all my transactions from MEW take up to hours to send and the "Time LastSeen" restarts each 5-10 minutes!
I wonder is it somehow related to this new Ethereum update?
Do you also experience same ETH transactions issues?
no I dont, it seems that you are just using a small amount of gwei or gas that's why your transaction is too long, try to increase the gas amount so you dont experience any delay or lags or anything.

I always use GAS recommended by MEW.
This night Ethereum network worked really fast.
Let's see how it operates today.

Regarding past problems, developers are responding by lowering transaction loads, but now the problem is with Gas, and the biggest difficulty is to establish speed in this process. But we must know that the higher the gas the faster the transactions and perhaps the solution is to establish a reasonable gas value for every type of transaction with the same speed.
I have faced a similar problem myself when I sold some of my tokens and your solution might actually help in this case. Thought that it was a minor issue, but never expected this kind of reaction. Honestly, such issues pop up now and then due to mass dumping leading to excessive transactions etc which goes to show that the Ethereum blockchain needs improvement. I am confident that Vitalik and his team are working on these issues and will minimize them soon enough.

I got the same lag too but it last only for a couple of minutes. Idk exactly what caused it. When I made a transaction, it won't go directly to the network. It needs time which usually occur for some minutes.

Because new cryptokitties are working - https://ether.online/
This game is working on ETH-blockchain and overload it
That's why Ethereum transaction too slow in last few day, I'm not a trader, so I always checked minimum gas price before doing transaction, I don't want to pay high fees, so I'll wait for transaction stable and transfer my tokens, try to set high gas price if you need faster transaction

I think you have to set the gas because the greater the gas the faster your transaction process. Another think might be because ethereum network is heavily congested with so many ico using it blockchain. There was also a massive dump past few days which can also affect it as most people will be trying to move their token.

i think there is a little issue with the ethereum network
but, i believe this issue will be fixed soon  Wink

it is because ethereum network is heavily congested and it is incapable of handling all that transctions. and on top of this huge issue, there was a massive dump going on in the past few days which means a lot of people like you are trying to move their tokens around and dump them before it is too late which is making everything that much worse.

Well, there were many dumps last months, but this time network is really overloaded.

Recently decentralized applications and exchanges are rose. They slows down the system, from another point of view the system is not enough fast to lift all those heavy transactions.

I think you have to set the gas,
Because the greater the gas you give the faster your transaction will be in the process,
Vice versa if you set the gas is small then that's what you feel,
It takes a long time,

The easiest option is to use the Metamask extension.
When making a transaction, Metamask automatically sets the optimal gas price.
https://metamask.io/

MEW does same, sets the optimal GAS price automatically.
Last months it worked fairly stable for me.

The market is not very stable at the moment, and the transaction speed is affected by the ETH update, so it takes time for everything to work as it was before

Now that gwei has improved a lot and Ethereum becomes more and more congested. I even have to wait 1-2 hours to complete a transaction.

You need to set a proper gas price in order to have your transaction sent fast depending on the network congestion...You can check a good value here:

https://ethgasstation.info/

The gas limit is automatically set by MEW

Right. The GAS limit is automatically set by MEW, and I always use this one.
May be it's somehow related to GWEI?
Since I use low GWEI like 4 or 5.

Check  https://ethgasstation.info/

For example, now you need to set at least 9 gwei as gas price in order to have a fast transaction...

If your transaction is pending forever you can try to cancel it (basically sending to yourself a transaction with 0 ETH and the same nonce)

Thanks for the advice.
Previously 3 - 4 GWEI worked perfectly for MEW transactions and I haven't seen transactions restart so often before. Angry
