I admit that ethereum is good but it will never surpass bitcoin. Bitcoin is always number one in terms of value on cryptocurrencies. I predict that it will reach the $1000 mark on the first quarter of 2018. Ethereum is also used in investing ICOs rather than bitcoin. I can temporarily say that ethereum is the king of altcoins.
I think there are no coins that will cross the BTC.I agree Ethereum is the best effective crypto currency at this time.But every crypto is depend on BTC in a word BTC control all alt coin.

It will but I dont think in the next year. People buy bitcoin because of investment and not for its actual function and service and many investors will realize that it is more profitable to invest in ethereum since its function is dynamic and also used for other tokens services. 
In the short term that's impossible . It's about the brand. There are many people who doesn't know what is blockhain ,but they know bitcoin and when they invest they invest in btc.

While ETH have ICO and contract are very bright, the flip very hard as BTC always the one trigger over the increase. 
Even if it happens, it's gonna take a very long time and ETH will have a very hard path to get there. BTC's marketcap is around 4x bigger right now.
I dont think so, bitcoin has stong price to dig, even the flow of price decrease. Etheruem was good price but not enough to reach the amount of bitcoin. Maybe happen how many years from now.
Maybe not regardless of whether ethereum is beginning to pump I don't figure it can surpass bitcoin in a matter of 1 year. Bitcoin sets aside opportunity to get into its place in todays market and I accept regardless of whether a gigantic drop in bitcoin cost is going on today individuals will even now trust bitcoin and will keep supporting it. I will simply keep a watch out how bitcoin get again into track and discharge a significantly higher incentive in the coming generation.
For me, i think that its impossible because as we can see the gap and the purpose of both coins is different, and bitcoin is always a main source of all coin. We can say ethereum will goes up in the next months but your opinion has loweat possibility to happen
The concept of ethereum will overtake bitcoin will not happen because the value of ethereum is very low compaare to bitcoins and still there are a lot of people who are more interested in bitcoins rather than spending their money to altcoins, Another thing is that, The growth of bitcoins is faster more than ethereum coins.
It is not impossible that ethereum will overtake bitcoin. No one can say what will happen to the future but for me bitcoin will be always the orginal and most trusted cryptocurrency. But all we can say that bitcoin is always pumping and pumping but etheruem do the same but bitcoin has the most percentage of investors, more investors more investments, more investment more chance of high value of bitcoin.
I am a big supporter of Etheruem, but even I think it will not overtake Bitcoin anytime soon.

No it won't takeover bitcoin, why do you think it will? Few more apps like cryptokitties and we can search for better, faster crypto.

May be it is not possible ETHEREUM or any alt coin overtake bitcoin. It is never happen.
Bitcoin will never be replaced by any alternate cryptocurrency. It will always stay as the number one cryptocurrency. Ethereum and Bitcoin have a huge gap in their prices. How come did you say that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin next year? You have too much expectation on Ethereum. I am so sorry but that will never happen considering their prices and their rate of change.

If Bitcoin will shutdown fully then that's the time you can say that ethereum will take the lead, but as of now ethereum is in the second place in the coinmarketcap and BCH is overtaking it that's why eventually we bitcoiners are encountering crash of bitcoin because of the supports of BCH, Well I cannot also conclude with your point but what I can only say is your wrong .

I believe that Ethereum is one of the strongest Altcoin today but thinking that it will going to replace Bitcoin's seat as the most valued cryptocurrency is possible. I'm referring to Bitcoin's dropping while Bitcoin Cash is pumping. Bitcoin will be replaced by Bitcoin Cash or Ethereum or any Altcoins but not today, not next year but not forever. It will soon step down from the 1st seat and Ethereum or Bitcoin will then step up.
