Everyone in the long run predicts today that the distant but far recoverable everything depends on national developments.
Additionally, ethereum's highest market price was only at 1.4K$ and as what we can see to its market price, it's going down to 400$ again which may go lower than that if the crisis continues. I think that 2.5K$ is unrealizable this year because ETH needs to double its all time high value to reach that and we already know that we only have 6 months left before this year ends.
Ethereum still the best and most valuable altcoin right now, despite the actual low price. It is predicted to reach the highest levels soon, so yes I think it can reach $2500 and even more in the future, especially as the demand is going up for it for the ICO investments. Even this year 2018, possible the price to reach that because if the bitcoin price increase very high again you will gain more money and even the ethereum reach $2500 or more this year. But everything is possible to happen maybe the price will continue to fall or it will up again depends to the demand .
With NEO, EOS and some other new players Ethereum will probably have to give some market share away in the long run, so this year could strong but long term Ethereum might not hold it up against 3rd gen blockchains

Etherium has a very great potential, even in relation to Bitcoin and may be in the distant future, the price of the Ethereum may overtake the price of Bitcoin but right now I think Ethereum will continue to fall. I think it will start to recover only in the beginning of the next year and it will rise hardly.
I think so as well, but with time for sure. The run up to what we've been seeing recently seemed almost inorganic, so hopefully, a slower and progressed increase to that price point is attainable within the near future. For that to happen though, we're going to have to see a lot of companies, enterprises, and organizations pick up the framework soon.
