Sure, why not? Ethereum is now at bad position comparing the last 15 months. Ethereum is passing crisis moment but some new development or updates of ethereum may lead it to the 2nd rank again.

It's too hard for ETH to pass the XRP to go up to No. 2 right now. XRP has far removed ETH in this market and it will continue to create a distance in the future. ETH is now not a great investment choice for everyone because it looks like it has collapsed

I think Ethereum will rise again in 2019 with high probability. It's still one of best blockchain project with lots of concrete applications and tested and safe blockchain.
Eth is in crysis because ICO market is Red. When ICO market will solve its problem I'm quite confident that also ETH will rise fast again.

Yes its not impossible for the price to rise again but don't forget that most of alt coins rely on bitcoin's price so if bitcoin's price fall most of alt coin's price fall too. Try to visit coinmarketcap.com and you will see the movements of prices

Well bitcoin drops, the market falls. Bitcoin pumps, most alts suffer as well. I think we can't base the movements of coins, especially eth and other main alts on how btc moves. Eth has it's own large following and it may not be moving the way most holders would like, but i'm confident that recovery is just a matter of time.

Looking at the charts it had been like dust before.

It is just that, it pumped like hell when the bitcoin price went up. It is not just Ethereum but mostly all of the altcoins are also pulled up.

I am keeping patient for this one and trying to be optimistic for it is used much when dealing with ICO projects.
Some may have given up with it but new investors will always be there and a pump could happen anytime.

anyone could easily argue the same thing looking back over the years. What's power in your definition? 2nd or 3rd rank on Coinmarketcap? Well that's a position that's change many times over the years. Remember this funny scam coin called Bitconnect? Even in top 3. Should that be considered power?

Coins will live and die, even Bitcoin, one day may not be alive after it has found successors. Ethereum is a fuzzy future, hard to see. I have it at 25% of the price I bought it so of course I hope it recovers but hope doesn't become reality for the sake of how we feel.
