I think ETH is a great coin and a great project, and will very likely have a high price multiplier this year. But one thing to note is that we are now getting into serious money in terms of marketcap. Each increase is harder than the last. A x10 increase from current price would make Ethereum marketcap worth more than any company in the world... so x100 looks unlikely.

But then what do I know? Crypto is full of surprises

Ethereum price went up over 100x last year. If total market cap reaches $5 Trillion in 2018 it wouldn't be unreasonable for Ethereum to reach $10,000.

So you are predicting that Ethereum will be having a market cap of over $1 trillion? I am not very optimistic about it, but I can't stop you from dreaming big. To be fair, no one thought that Ethereum will rise to the current levels ($1,300 per coin). If it can rise from $250 to $1,300, then another spike may take it to the five-digit levels.

Only Ethereum has potential to reach the Bitcoin price in future, as per your conclusion we have seen x109.091 growth in just 12 months. So, we can expect Ethereum to be at least $10000 next year in the same month. All we can do is just Buy/Hold for Ethereum.

I would think ETH may jump with Caspar - plus there are a lot of projects/tokens on top of ETH $132000 would be incredible - maybe a few more years (10?) for that once regulations are in place and the crazy world of cryptocurrency has settled somewhat.

Only if Ethereum will follow Bitcoin's pattern last year then it's easy for Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin's market capital this year maybe it will happen on 3rd quarter of the year.
Otherwise, maybe next year because we're just starting the momentum between Bitcoin and Ethereum this year and Ethereum shows off it's dominance as the leader of Altcoin group but I admit it has the potential to lead cryptocurrency market into wider adaption.

This a vital question i think because of after btc,
Eth is the best coin in crypto market. And eth is growing like btc now. ETH price is 13k$+ now i think it will became 2k$ in February 2018. And step by step it will became 10k very soon. So let's see,,,,,,,,,,,,

A rise like the one which Ethereum experienced in 2017 is exceptional, which means it is not normal, it won't repeat anytime soon. But of course during this year ETH could (quite) easily make 5K$ and I could even imagine it to climb to 10K$, but really not more than that. More likely it could just make 2K$.

Ethereum has been found growing continuously, and the sudden price pumping took place few weeks before making the price get lower continuously. Right now the price was found to be around $1400, so holding needs to be given priority to benefit through the same.

If ETH solves high fee and network congestion issues it may well easily hit 3k-5k range. Scability another concern. So many tokens issued under ERC20 standard that ETH price will increases naturally.

Why not as it's better to shift from btc to eth as it's faster and has lower fees. The speed and fees of bitcoin is infuriating except of it's current value and supposed future value.

Everything could happen . But I doubt it will happen earlier then in two years . Let's see when and what PoS will bring to users , if there will be a significant network improvements and ethereum will become a stable and somfortable in usage currency , then it can cost 10k

Best in terms of what ? Other than providing platform for scammy ICOs what else applications eth so far developed in its so far run up to $1500 levels. I am afraid of eth to get dumped at any time in near future as it lacks with real time applications to keep attracting investors. Investments from one particular group alone will not help any crypto to shine its life term.

If eth is not finding real time applications other than providing platform for ICOs then we can see it get dumped. I am not seeing any possibilities for it to reach $10k levels as it may get replaced any other new altcoin at any time. Hence holding and investing in eth only at affordable limit is highly recommended to avoid any pathetic disasters.

It's possible actually any alts can really hit $10000 no one can really tell but since cryptos are really amazing and suprising anything can happen like what has bitcoin value does it started on a very low value but in just few years it become the biggest hit in crypto appreciation and still manage to fluctuates and grow up to this moment. Ethereum on the other hand make noise when it hits the market and now being consider to be the next bitcoin
