I certainly believe it will yes. With the upgrades planned for next year it will become a real contender!
If they do not sort out the network they have no chance now i am afraid. Look at how the price dipped since the kittens took hold. Its not good for the network that it was built to do. It just cant cope with the amount of transactions that are being placed now.
In my opinion Ethereum can passing this price level because now cryptocurrency become more popular day by day so many people will jump it and then buy some coin include ETH which this coin is the biggest altcoin now.

I think Ethereum is going to hit $2000 in 2018, looking at the chart, I don't know if is going to be able to sustain that price action. The main thing is for the team to resolve their network congestion think and also transaction fee

Once PoS and the resulting increase in the number of possible transactions come, i expect it to shoot up, maybe even overtake bitcoin. Right now its a bit dead though because of all the negativity surrounding the network congestion.
yes, i think it will goto $1500 by 2018 end. It has already grown a lot in 2017, from $40 to $500. we can expect a big jump by 2018 end.
You know, earlier, I was convinced that the price of any cryptocurrency is not able to grow so fast. But now I am looking at the price of Bitcoin which extremely increases every day and I understand that everything is possible. I can say that Etherereum can reach $1500 by the end of 2018. Even more, I think it will be.

All alts rely on bitcoins so that's a big factor in the price of ETH as well. However, right now people are dumping alts and keeping bitcoins based on the exchanges I am on. Almost all of the alts are in red and not just a small drop but mostly all of them had about 15% decrease. This is totally a sign though that probably bitcoins will crash and correct. But another factor is that bitcoin has probably already corrected when the prices touched $17,000 and crashed back to $14,000. Maybe that was already a correction and should be considered before buying any alt.
Thats impossible right now,with the network problems ethereum has the time they need to recover with the cryptokitties madness,maybe in the mid 2018 eth's price will reach $1k.

it could be if they fix the issues we are seeing now with the network and start to be adopted even more. It's a great tech imo.

In 2018? Maybe. It's not a "grandfather" Bitcoin, but ETH has some advantages. Also, if Vitalik solves the problem of the speed of transactions, all be ok.

Yeah, but if they can't the price can easily drops to the zero value. I guess the community is very disappointed with last circumstances about crypto-kitties which killed the ethereum network. It's just silly...

Ethereum is the leading Top Altcoins today and the second highest market cap value next to Bitcoin and soon Ethereum will rise like Bitcoin, maybe not today but soon enough people will realize that it's time to invest more into Atlcoins because Bitcoin is too much expensive.
