A lot of positive news are now coming that seems to affect the current market situation of bitcoin and all other alts. I hope this good things will continue and recoveries of value of cryptos goes up again. If governments will really takes time to appreciate cryptos they will know that this can really help the economy.

First crypto index traded as a token!
This is very positive news, after the FUD 2 weeks ago about countries banning cryptocurrencies. Governments are concerned about the scams, which they want to prevent and protect customers. But we still have to be cautious, G20 will discus cryptocurrencies in March.

I just noticed how Europeans appriciate the blockchain technology. A good news indeed.  This will encourage some minor investors to trust Bitcoin and will help to increase its value. On the other hand, although Bitcoin has been already used into criminal activities and there are a lot of scammer, but still its a bold move for the US. Again it will encourage more people. So, i guess this will end all the FUD, Bitcoin is about to bounce back.

I also have to say this:

THANK YOU FOR THE FUDS THAT HAD CAUSED THE CRASH!!!  Grin

Providing me with the opportunity to purchase BTC at close to 5kUSD again! -- I injected at 6.1k USD.

I believe the rock bottom if there is another crash would be yet again higher than the one before.

Finally all the countries will accept cryptocurrecnies. If they were supposed to ban bitcoin, they had banned in till now. I think all the news we were hearing in January and early February were some rumors to manipulate the prices. Good news are coming.

Between the ending of December till January all we heard were (rumors) Bitcoin bans from country after country.

FTFY.

Rumors, rumors and more rumors.
And in the end, there was no ban, at least not in the countries that everybody talked about.

If I'm not mistaken the only ones that did enforce a ban were the Indonesian CB but they were against BTC for years.

wow, thats really a good news for all of us
Atlast, there is a slight relief

unfortunately it is.
but news of banning or not banning bitcoin should not affect it ever. we need to reach a state when everyone understands that bitcoin was created in a way that what the government thinks about it is never of any importance. whether they ban it or not ban it should not be something that bitcoin cares about.
It's OK that from bitcoin's point of view ban is a neutral thing, but for the Average Joes the official acceptance and regulation makes bitcoin a more trustable thing, so it can help the mass adoption somehow. Bitcoin can work if it's banned everywhere, but it would restrict the use of if. If it's an accepted thing, people will give a try much easier. The mass adoption is a good thing to reduce the volatility but it brings some restrictions or regulations... not sure which is better, volatility or regulation... but Average Joes would simply go for the regulations in order to reduce volatility...

Between the ending of December till January all we heard were Bitcoin bans from country after country. And since the start of February story after story of banks, countries, and financial organizations starting to praise Bitcoin again. The news agencies surrounding crypto are very new and far from objective. All I'm thinking though is that they are trying to bring the price back and that's good news nonetheless.

Well they kinda dismissed the ban for the wrong reason lol:

Quote
‘Many of you posted questions about whether the ECB is going to ban Bitcoins or it’s going to regulate Bitcoins,” Draghi said. ‘I have to say it’s not the ECB’s responsibility to do that.’

They're basically saying it's not their job, so some other entity could pick up their slack. I don't really believe that Europe as a whole will ban crypto, but it doesn't look like it's completely off the table. Still, this is good because it alleviates fears for the upcoming G20 meeting which seems to have a lot of people on edge.

The ECB does not have the right or the power to ban anything. They can't ban bitcoin , this has do be done by every parliament of the countries in the EU.
For example, in my case even the Central Bank does not have the power on banning something, they can only suggest this to the fiscal council which can....oh my god it's such a long process it will probably take a decade.

I think that the EBA might have a bigger say in this matter.

What is happening in March?

The world’s largest central bank chiefs are expected to discuss the matter at a G20 meeting in Buenos Aires in March.

Just saying....nothing will really happen.
They do not vote on things, there is no resolution coming from a G20 meeting.
And with the current members opposing on a lot more important things than BTC , like environment, Crimea, Middle East crisis...I doubt they will bother with BTC

Good news
I consider the prohibition of European banks to be general, and have no strict regulation on bitcoin currency, so there are still some people who enjoy bitcoin trading deals.

and what the US Senate does have a huge impact on bitcoin security, especially in 2018, crime is on the rise. Minimal theft of reduced bitcoin purses.

Good news but the big one to be watching is in March, let's see what the outcome is and whether they agree, I think it would be a nice thing if they all just backed off for a couple of more years to see where it goes before trying to regulate everything.

What is happening in March?

I would like to know as well

I just read the news regarding the dismissal of the ban of the European central bank to the cryptocurrency that causes a slightly increase in the price of bitcoin,
Please see reference article here: http://metro.co.uk/2018/02/14/price-bitcoin-ethereum-ripple-surges-european-central-bank-dismisses-cryptocurrency-ban-fears-7311566/

and in an additional news, US Senate is currently discussing how to eliminate scammers and terrorists to use bitcoin in order for crypto traders to be safe
see reference link: http://metro.co.uk/2018/02/07/bitcoin-price-booms-us-senate-cryptocurrency-hearing-reassures-market-boosts-value-ethereum-ripple-litecoin-alt-coins-7293277/?ito=cbshare

I think bitcoin and altcoin or cryptocurrency should be not ban on europe. I think that news is good for crypto market, because if many country regulating crypto, crypto market will more bigger and bigger.

Europe is slowly switching to scrutinize the blockchain to see if it is possible to "regulate" I guess they now understand cryptocurrencies won't be easy to have a control on. So they think, why not looking at the blockchain technology instead. I now wonder if they aren't retarded, blockchain is a protocol, not a software or a database hosted on pirate bay.

Good news about crypto is now coming. did whales re stocked at around 6,000 USD level? it seems that bitcoin trend is about to change. If bitcoin would reach 10,000 it is clear that it will reach 13,500 again. when we are at that price maybe whales starts to dump again and go back to 9,000. just my opinion

That is a good news. From negative views about some government and banks now it turns into possitive which is really good because it will help to boost up the crypto community. And it will also minimize doubt and fear for bitcoiners. Hope more country will accept the new generations job and enter also in crypto world.

Looks like the world changed and now people are not anymore talking about governments or banks banning bitcoin but they are talking about banks that dont want anymore to bann bitcoin and governments that help bitcoin to become a better and safer coin. It is obviously that all of this are just news spread to help the price to go up and I am happy with this so they can continue like this because I dont mind.
