Not sure why something that is private and intimate is now being considered as a sports. This looks like more of a marketing gimmick than a sport to make Sweden as a destination for sex tourism. I am not sure whether online casinos would be using this sports for betting. If they do then it will be treated similar to other sports. What would be interesting to find out is how many gamblers do place a bet on this sports.
Someone must have some serious gambling problems if they are considering betting on sex competitions. I don't really care what people choose to do with their life so it doesn't bother me that this kind of sport exists, it's just not something I have much interest in following.
It would not be a strange thing in Europe but in Asia, especially in my country, of course, this is not a common thing, and even talking about sex is often considered not something that is appropriate to talk about in public. This is absurd, I don't think that we can consider sex as sports though, even if we ask people who are not sport minded, for sure they will not see it as sports or anything that enhance or excel someone of. And I don't think that you can be proud when you be called a sex champion?

What's the criteria in the first place to be declared as winner?
It's hard to bet on something you don't know anything about the participants. They aren't real athletes. They don't have a history we can analyze. They are just random people wanting to have sex in order to win a championship and probably some money as prize.
I guess this is going to be an extension of the porn industry, having as main participants porn actors and actresses, because people outside this world use to be very private regards their sexual lives. Most of us wouldn't be confortable displaying our intimacy to the world.

Lets be mature on this but this is difficult to bet on because you cant really predict who to win and this is new to us, not sure also if during that game we will enjoy because there are no thrills thay we will experience in other sports. So for now I won't be betting on it and for sure there are only few people betting on it or closed to none. Not sure what are the basis why they make it as a sport on it
I already bet and follow too many sports, so i'd pass on the thought of betting on the sex championship. Also, there are better tournaments and leagues to bet on this month (NBA, RG, NHL, CL, MLB, etc.) that includes a promotion, but I can imagine a few bettors placing bets on these events just for fun, as most bookies nowadays accept smaller bets. I still don't see sex as a form of sport because there's no chance this would be added to a big event like the Olympics.
That ain't a sport in my opinion. Sex is sacred to me. It's supposed to happen behind closed doors and windows where the partners are the only ones who will see their naked bodies. It's not about religion but health and dignity are also part of why it should be kept by two people.

I am not even sure yet what to think of this, to be honest with all of you. I have been aware that Sweden is one of the most open-minded countries in Western Europe, but this is the kind of thing one is supposed to see in a parody movie of a whole society or something similar.

This is madness and I see Sweden as the new Sodom and Gomora. Why among everything on earth,it is sex that is forbidden by God without getting married that they want to take as sport.

Gosh, is this a must? I'm not sure about something you posted in this thread, I also didn't forget to read the link you shared. if this is a championship, what is its essence, what do we get from this tournament, and what category does this fall into. sport, passion, or what else is this weird thing. well, for your question, is our question too. In my country, this will very much intersect with morals and ethics. I can't imagine, if I have to watch it and then bet. this is beyond my personal common sense. to be honest, i like to gamble. and if the casino adopts it, as one of the betting features. I will ignore it, because this is something immoral.

As for me it is not a sport but beginning since when I started watching American and European movies sex is done publicly in most cases. So if they are bringing it to the public we should not be surprised. Even blue film is from them to the other parts of the world. Yeah I saw this news flash on my notification earlier today but I never take it serious since the content did not sound appealing to me, because considering sex to be a sport game will further expose the world to pornogragy unless the sport would be view publicly and the rest of the world wound be ok with that and even if some other countries are ok with such games it wound be allow in other countries so I can't bet in the success of this development.

This is one of those things that I would have never imagined it could happen, but here we are, however I suppose it was long coming as there are world records related to sex already, so some people already saw it as some form of competition to be had, and when people think of something on that way then some sort of official competition could emerge, still even if I had the opportunity I will not bet on this event, however it would not surprise me if casinos began offering competitions like this on the future as events like those gained popularity around the world.

When I first read about this few days ago I couldn't believe what I was reading how Sweden could focus resources to sponsor sex competition in the disguise of sports when there could be other matters affecting the country that such resources could be directed to. I won't be surprised should casinos picked it up into their bet options for them it's all about the money as business is business, but I don't think I am going to bet on it as long as I don't also imagine myself watching it I can't place a bet on it.
