UPM Windows wallet has been compiled and is being tested. Genesis block has been mined, which will be distributed fully to all worthy investors once this crowdfunding phase ends. The second block containing the 1% non-distributed coins has also been mined, and these coins will be put aside for educational and academic purposes, to be utilized for various projects throughout the year.
We're now working on the Mac wallet, and the key maker will be adding several sleek features into the wallet to be ready for launch. Keep your eyes peeled!

Coin is scheduled for launch at 00:00, 1st August 2014 GMT.
However, this is subject to slight changes if there are hick-ups in the code compilation process. All updates will go in this thread.
If you are planning to rent miners specifically for UPM, please consult me on the confirmed timing of the launch before going ahead, as I don't want you wasting your rented hours waiting.

Hello everyone,
Thank you for showing interest in the Utopia Project! We are currently working very hard to get the show on the road, and here's some updates we're focusing on now:
The distribution model of UPM is designed such that early adopters will benefit more so than late adopters, and rightfully so for taking on higher risk. Especially in times like these where scams are rampant, we at UPM aim to come out on top and bring to the community an altcoin that is fair, transparent, and built with a long-term plan in mind.
With only a 1 million maximum supply, 40% will be distributed during the first month alone, half of which is disbursed via this crowdfunding phase. Keep in mind that this current crowdfunding period will last for another 30 or so hours. At the current BTC pot size of 6.582, the 20% supply will be distributed to all shareholders at a current price of 0.00003291 BTC/UPM.
After the first month, mining will reset to a rate of less than 1% of total supply a month, with an increase of 50% per month, until month 12, which will be the last month of PoW mining and distribution. Thereafter, UPM will be secured by at least PoS, while other features are also being considered such contributing computational power to relevant projects such as SETI or via BOINC.

eUtopium [UPM] is a decentralized, distributed, stable and secure digital currency based on the core values of Bitcoin.
We aim to be a transparent and fairly distributed cryptocurrency that provides equal opportunities to both investors and miners, allowing all to exist in harmony.
Our goal is to be a self-sustaining social enterprise, which also acts as a social experiment built with the sole purpose of seeking truth and improving the education system.
Distribution as First Priority

Phase 0: Crowdfunding
20% off total UPM supply will be distributed to crowdfunders, who will receive a share proportional to their investment in the total BTC pot.
