Regarding the number 9 point (which you mistakenly typed 8 again) I agree with that since the time I have learned that we can't be perfect at anything instead, we can be progressive only if we take the first step and then we can be progressive towards perfection has changed my mind.

Ah, I read those books and even I have a complete series of Robert Kiyosaki although I don't know where that book now Grin

If we can creatively searching for more ideas about how to have more sources of income, we will see many opportunities that we can do. But the problem is we often too lazy to start the first step and we also think about the negative thing that we may get. We think about the rejection from people around us and that makes us think thousand time before we decide to do that. But that will not make us to step forward because we still afraid of the effect.

If you want to grow yourself, you must blockade that such mindset and do not think much about what will happen later. You want to have a better thing for your life, you willing to do many things, you can spend your time to do that, and let you start.

There must be individuals who have followed all these simple steps and rules and still did not become successful at the end while there are others who followed no rules at all and now very successful in what they're doing, this tells you that there's no rule book to becoming successful and although they are some tips to be successful, they also requires a large major of luck like meeting the right people that have better exposure or the right opportunities and also like things like making the right investments.

If they were so rich and successful as they say, they would not have to sell books. But they do sell them, most likely to the most naive and gullible people.

After a quick glance most of these 'points' are just general motivation as expected with these 'self-help' books. Although perhaps there do exist people who feel like they get helped by reading such things.

I do not know why OP is shlling for this 'author' but I personally am going to stay away.

I wanted to resist but I can't. How about you put together some bundles of the suggested books, write down your simple steps as you call them on a piece of paper, and then you go to the poorest places in the world, and there are a lot of those places. I get headaches reading this because I don't know where you are from, but there are very bad inequalities out there and some are so fierce that there is self made millionaire potential.

I hope you good intentions with your post, but this is so damn superficial that you should get accustomed to some of the brutal realities in the world and then think about your post again. Otherwise, be more precise with your wording and tell people here that you think some of them can make it. You are right, OP just wanted to write the most cliche things about getting rich. I mean we can all do it, we can all say "save 10% of your salary every month and invest carefully, do this for three decades and you will retire rich" there isn't a secret to this, it's common knowledge. If you start working at 22-23 years old when you graduate from college, and work until you are 62-63 which isn't really that old, it would mean you worked for 40 years, if you end up saving 10% for every single month of that period, you will retire a wealthy person, not just ok, I mean wealthy.

The exponential growth of investment when you do this, isn't a simple small thing, it becomes huge, evet after 20 years you may not too much, but with 40 years? You will be wealthy without a doubt. Well I am not the one that would talk down on people reading but we should also check out the bigger picture here too. We see people selling this success and wealth books hoping it helps. Some people may benefit from such books while other won't benefit but you should also understand that the authors of such books wrote them to have a big sale so they can make money from it too.

I found that a slight variation to point number 1 has been the most useful way of learning for me - a few years ago I picked up a few finance books and ended up reading a couple dozen from different, highly knowledgeable authors. That was such a huge eye opener and will put you above 90% of people when it comes to the basics of financial education. Learn about how the stock market works, which really is about how businesses work, and you will start to understand the world in a different way. There are so many different strategies you can adopt which will help you to accrue wealth and that is one of the best ways to truly be free - having the money to walk away from any job at any money if you choose.

when it comes to being either successful or rich, ACTION does far more than reading a thousand books or watching a hundred motivational videos on ways to become successful. i have read "rich dad and poor dad" and have equally had a glance through "think and grow rich" at the time i knew little about finance, book books are well written and contains fact that can help one become rich but reading that book and any other great books alone don't translate to the kind of result successful people have had. even though there might be some sort of argument on what being successful really is and whether having money means that one is successful, in the end, wealth is one of the leading indicators that shows that one is successful.

in today's time, being rich is closely associated to being successful because in this economy you can never live without any problems if you do not have money everything needs to be paid these days and if you do not have the means you will be left struggling and there will always be problems in your way even if you say that your concept of success is you reaching or achieving your dream job but if that dream job does not pay well then you will still encounter problems trust me so is it still really a successful life if you are always worrying about what to eat or where to find your rent?

I personally think op didn't do proper justice with this step about not having to copy anybody if you wanna get rich. I don't think there's anything new towards achieving success in life that anybody would want to do that hasn't been done before now, the only thing is just people having to add some uniqueness to what they copied. Take the automobile industry for example, one company invented the motor car and others keyed in and remodeled theirs from the original source of invention and today we have different automobile companies. So it's not about not copying if you wanna be successful but you just have to be unique from what or who you're copying the idea or knowledge from.
