U need to know when and how to enter market , this is why we can't do away from TA "technical analysis" no matter what it still win cos it will give a clue of what could happen and if not certain then you wait and see when to enter but if certain then you enter and enjoy yr profit and every thing still get to both side as there is no way you would get lost but it will be minimal .

At least once we all had the feeling that we are selling at the wrong time. But there is actually no good or bad time, it's depending on your estimation and if you need the money at that moment. It's important that you not generate the loss but there will always be situations when you will think that you sold too soon and that you could have made bigger profit.

This has happen to me but in alts that i am hodling, anytime i impatiently sell some alts that refuse to increase in price for some time then suddenly the price will start rising like i jinx it Grin am sure same thing @op is experiencing same thing, so at the end it is always good to have some patient and not to sell when price is down.

For me, I don't even mind now the price of bitcoin when I sell my BTC because when the time that I need money, I just sell it. In the very beginning, I know that the nature of bitcoin's price is very fluctuating and if I overthink after selling my bitcoin what I have lost it's very exhausting for me. When I sell my bitcoin in the very first time, I feel guilty because after the day bitcoin price jumps up. But I manage to calm my self because I need the money at that moment, need to pay the bills and also buy some foods. It truly depends on the situation, once you needed to sell your bitcoin to have some money for an emergency or your daily lives, I'm sure that's you will not hesitate and feel guilty after that.  Smiley

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
This is a good example on how we must know what’s the difference of investments to daily profit, because bitcoin Holingis what profitable but for long time and not just a random days to take away our investments.just like what you did OP.whe you just withdraw your coins to buy something that can be covered if you know how to separate your daily needs ,emergency needs and investment money.
Bitcoin should be taken seriously and let be seat in your wallet for longer time and keep it that way

Dont worry bro because your not alone with that as i also experienced the same delima . unlike you im always making btc withdrawals but at most time that i cash out the value decreases and will return two days or more and then the value of btc will fall again the day that im about to exchange them for fiat because i do also need the funds imediately  .

i think this happens because other users are also selling once they recieve their btc salary on that day

Well just a couple weeks ago I had around .02 BTC (thats alot for me) well my washer and dryer has been having issues. My dryer proceeded to go and break on me and I had to sell my .02 to buy a used dryer, I spent $30 in gas and $75 on the dryer and when I got home the used dryer I bought is broken and the guy who sold it hasnt aswered my phone call in a month...

Well anyways I sold my .02 for around $140 at the time roughly 1 month ago give or take. And since then it has went up over $100 in value... smh

As a traders, you should accept this reality, once you hold your coins, you hope that it tripled in value or wish that it will not go down and when you sold your coin, there's a possibility that it will go up, this is why we have this magic word called HODL

Am I just unlucky or does the bitcoin market follow my transaction history and only pump when I am out?Huh
Of course, that's not true it has nothing to do with what you do with your Bitcoin, it's just you not following the market pulse so you are always selling at the wrong time

This is so relatable. It looks like most of us experienced this. We were highly affected by our emotions, needs, and fuds. We can't do anything but go with the flow, it happened and we can't do anything about it. Playing with your funds is such a risky move, you might end up with a great profit or loss that most of us sell it instead.

There are times that I sold my bitcoin then it suddenly pumps.  We just have to accept the fact that btc is so tricky and playful since it does have volatile characteristics. Even my technical analysis seems not working when whales are controlling the market and it was the time I sold my btc. Anyway, no regrets as long as we still gain profits.

It also happens to me but I think it's my fault because I let myself get affected by fuds. Technical analysis doesn't 100% work on crypto market, even expert from forex and stocks says that. If you can't play with the whales the best thing to do is just hodl until you are satisfied with the profit.

I guess that is happening to many people, but we don't have to regret it because I think every one of us has a reason why we sell the bitcoin at that time. Sometimes our prediction and analysis are wrong and make us cannot make a bigger profit but trust me, and we will have another chance to make a bigger profit in the future. We need to keep trying to search a low price to buy and sell at a high price, and we will see that in the future. It doesn't matter if we cannot do right now because our time will come soon to make a bigger profit.

I couldn't hold back my laughter after reading the post. OP, if you know what happened to me, then you won't even think that you sold your coins at loss. You are so heartbroken after selling BTC0.02. How much you could have gained if you had held on to those coins? $100 is my max estimate. Now I will tell you my story and you can compare.

I got my first coins in 2012 (purchased some for $10 per coin, and got more through Rugatu, Bittrivia.etc). By mid-2013, I had more than 70 BTC in my wallet. Then catastrophe struck. I lost about BTC30 when Litecoinglobal closed down. Bad times didn't end there. A few months later (Q2, 2014) I lost my full time job and I became unemployed. I held on to sometime, but by early 2015 I had to sell most of my remaining coins. I managed to get a job by 2015, but I was in deep financial crisis. During 2015, I sold around 30 BTC, when the price was just $200 per coin.

Now my total coin holding is a small fraction of what I had in 2013. It is very difficult not to imagine what I could have done, if I still had all those coins. But life goes on, and I am trying to forget everything and move ahead.

So my advice to the OP is not to feel dejected. You are not the unluckiest person out there.

Sorry for your bad conditions and your mother as well. Hope she will fine soon. However, since btc is a crypto-currency that's why its nature is volatility. So no one could assure what is the top prices and when we should sold it. I have bad experiences like you about bitcoin. But I have not lost my patience. Since we don't know when bitcoin would pump so we could sold our btc when is very necessary. Forget about pump dump, try to hold for few days if you can. Perhaps you might sell on good price.

That shit happens with everyone including me. Seems like market is playing with us, or we just sold it at the wrong time. I mean, we can't predict to be exact when that occurs.

It was with Monaco, that shit went up for like 100% and I missed it. It just makes me depressed and I couldn't forgive myself, but at least I got something from there(not much but still good than nothing).

I have the same experience with you. Not only happend on bitcoin but another coin too
whenever i sell their price up / pump but when i hold it , the price won't up or just stagnan there. its maybe just my luck , but then i realize that need to learn how to read market condition

It also happens to me in the past. But I don't regret it because those time I need money desperately and I can use some of my bitcoin investments. If you gain profit then it's not bad even if it pumps after you sell, you can just buy again after correction happens.

Cheesy I think I was the only one .
Just some days before my friend sold like 1000$ in BTC and suddenly the price sky rocketed but came down after few hours.

Well the fact that we decided to sell because we saw that we are having a profit already and we thought that it won't go that up means , we should just ignore the future price or just go and buy fast and hold .

There are some high strokes in Bitcoins which actually comes so suddenly that no one is able to predict , and after that we suddenly have that down hill , due to huge selling off.

Don't worry it's very common , well it's more like a bet thus we cannot expect it to always favour us.
