Thank you for your pity, sir.  I am of the opinion that the halvening is priced in--I'm not exactly a staunch believer in efficient markets, but I do believe in them somewhat.  I don't think you can make money with that kind of certainty anywhere, and that's basically what you're saying is going to happen if you believe bitcoin is going to skyrocket after the halving.  But we'll see, eh?  I'll be in my lawn chair with my sunglasses and a nice cool frosty beverage just watching the action.  Or lack thereof.

That is right. I wish the bitcoin price to be lower so that I can buy more before it moves to higher price.

At the moment the price is being dumped down, so use this opportunity in your advantage and start buying as we speak!!

I have the same feeling. we are lucky to buy the bitcoin at $420. I was also luck to buy at $70 in 2013.

yeah, i still feel pretty lucky even though i was stupid and spend thousands of dollars on miners that got delivered too late, or in some cases never got delivered at all.

i still got some bitcoin, but i could have had much more bitcoin if i didn't waste so much money on miners.

biggest financial mistake in my life.
Nice and honest, I like that.

I have mixed feelings about bitcoin.  On the one hand I think it might be a good investment and the price stability we're seeing right now is conducive to buying. On the other hand, I'm not sure that bitcoin will exist in 10 years.  There's uncertainty in all investments but I'm extremely unsure about btc.

I can understand the doubts, but i[m pretty sure people said the same about credit cards at first, or paper money. Or even gold (when they used barter).

Any change meets resistance, from outside (other people) as well as from inside (emotionally). Only when people start to realize that the change isn't scary, and in face beneficial and makes sense, then will the adoption come.

I think it's highly unlikely bitcoin will die at this point, it has survived so much already I don't know what can kill it at this point.

I hear ya, OP.  I have a certain amount of my monthly income budgeted for purchasing bitcoin as well. I don't mind that the price isn't "exploding" just yet, as it gives me more time to pick up more bitcoins at a relatively cheap price and add to my stacks.

Everyday that I can still buy Bitcoin at 3 figures a BTC is a celebration day for me, and anyone with a functional brain that is going long term in Bitcoin. We are able to keep buying at least 1 BTC monthly and keep stacking on the most important asset/commodity/whatever you want to call it, of all times. I pity the short sighted morons that are still wondering if they should buy or not, or even worse, they still think it's "some sort of scam".

1 BTC a month? That is more than a month's salary in developing countries.
Slow and steady is my motto too, but at much lower levels.

I can only imagine if this thread was like 100 pages deep.

And we see a similar price several years still here, being the same price lul.

Not everyone is able to buy 1 Bitcoin each month as it depends on your income and monthly costs.
But that's a different topic and I get your point. And that's why you could also continue accumulating when price starts to rise.Instead of being able to buy a whole coin per month it would just be half of it if price doubles for instance. When you're a long term bull it shouldn't matter you that much if price continues to stay where it is, starts to rise gradual or explodes. You will accumulate what you can because you are convinced Bitcoin will be an important part of the digital future and financial environment.

Nice thread, slow gradual accumulation at the current price is great. I'm willing to sit on my stash for at least 10 years, I just hope all this will be worth it one day.
